Unity Consciousness: From Belief to Truth

by Scott Rabalais -

What are your first thoughts when you awaken each day? Do you believe it is going to be a good day? Do you see great possibilities and look forward to the unfolding of events? Or, do you frown about having to get out of bed? Do you think it's going to be another day of struggle and hardship?

Belief is a projection, a mental formulation that emanates from our mind and creates a magnetic environment around us.

When we project that we are going to have a good day, we tend to look for such things that will support such a projection and attract them into our lives. Likewise, when we believe that we are going to have a bad day, we tend to set up the situations that align with that perspective.

It is commonly accepted that to have favorable results in life, it is beneficial to practice positive belief over negative belief.

We hope for the best. The nature of belief is in separation consciousness. Positive and negative belief are two sides of the same coin. Belief stems from "not-knowing," and is often no more than an expectation, opinion or educated guess.

For example, for centuries it was a commonly-held belief that the sun rotated around the Earth. This was an educated guess that appealed to common sense, as the sun evidently raced across the sky each day.

With an expanded perspective of the solar system, we now know that the Earth revolves around the sun. The prior belief -- a guess based on appearances -- has been dropped in lieu of the truth based on direct observation from an expanded perspective.

The assertion that "I am going to have a good day" is an expectation, a form of belief.

Again, in the realm of expectations, it is helpful to create positive expectations over negative expectations. An athlete steps who steps to the starting line with an expectation of "I am going to have a great race" will likely have a better performance than if he thinks "I am going to have an awful race."

Unity Perspective

Belief is always related to "I" or the individuality, which is a reflection of separation consciousness. Every belief is preceded by the "I" as in "I believe in God," or "I believe in UFOs."

When the "I" is set aside in unity consciousness, so the accompanying belief falls away as well.

And when there is no more belief, what remains is Truth.

If one drops a belief in God, this does not alter the reality of there being or not being a God. It only changes one's perspective;

Truth remains.

Truth is a state of knowingness in unity consciousness.

In Truth, there are no beliefs, no expectations and no educated guesses, all seen as projections of the mind. Positive and negative beliefs are fused into an inner knowingness, an understanding of That Which Is.

There is peace in the moment, a calm assurance that all is unfolding according to the omniscience of the universe.

There is no "good" day or "bad" day; the moment unto itself is complete. Existence is not in need of our projections and expectations to unfold in its grandeur.

It Simply Is.

A rose is beautiful. It is not beautiful because it proclaims as such every morning. Nor, does it work hard at being beautiful. It has no expectations for the day, nor beliefs that it will turn out one way or another.

It simply IS, pure and simple, and in its ISNESS it is beautiful to our eye. It's beauty is inherent in its nature.

One who views from unity consciousness may be asked, "Do you believe in God?," a common inquiry of the day. Unity perspective does not recognize belief, so it is not an issue of a belief or lack of belief in God.

Truth simply is, and in unity experience one is assimilated with Truth and becomes this knowingness. There can be an attempt to call Truth by names, to explain the nature of existence but this nature is infinite and beyond the scope of separation consciousness and language.

With Truth comes an understanding, far beyond that which was understood in a field of belief and conjecture.

The state of unity arises in the stillness of the mind, that is, when the mind does not have the capacity to devise or project beliefs of any sort.

Many of us have become so attached to and identified with our beliefs that we insist they are the core of our being. We can become so identified with the belief that we are a Democrat or a Christian or an American that we take strong offense when such labels are challenged or opposed.

All such labels are projections that we have created or accepted as part of our separation reality.

Such labels can disappear in the blink of an eye as our perceptions change. From a higher view, we no longer identify with the labels, though we recognize we are free wear such labels and claim such beliefs if we wish. Take away the labels, remove the clothing of belief, and we stand naked in our knowingness.

There is a power in positive thinking, a power that trumps negative thinking.

This is the power of positive belief. Yet, note that every positive thought has on its flip side a negative thought and vice versa, as in two sides of a coin.

Often positive thought is a reflection of the fear, doubt and worry that plagues the mind.

The positive thought is created as a balance to the existing or underlying negative thought. If a person walks scared through a dark alley at night, he can create a thought, "I am safe," to counteract his fear.

There cannot be positive without negative and vice versa. Such is the way of separation consciousness. It is dualistic in its nature.

By transcending duality, one transcends the positive/negative coupling. Judgment is a projection of positive/negative, good/bad and other such dualities.

Going beyond separation into oneness is a step into Truth, into knowingness, into the stillness of the mind. There is no longer the need to believe when one knows.

Game On, Are You In?

by Scott Rabalais -

You are a member of a team, along with some 6.8 billion other souls. Let’s call it Team Earth. This team has great potential, most likely beyond what any of us imagine.

We have come so far and yet we can be so much more. Because you are an interconnected part of that team, as you go so goes the team. All the progress you make is progress for the team. And the same holds true for everyone on the planet.

COMMITMENT

So you want to be a great team member? Here’s how. Be the best you can be. What does that mean? It means right here, right now, make the commitment to be and do your highest good in every single moment. Regardless. It’s called commitment. It is commitment to yourself and it’s commitment to the team.

Let’s address that commitment.

Within you is a sacred intuitive capability called Inner Guidance. That guidance will lead you to your highest good, always.

Commitment means surrendering TOTALLY to that highest good. Yes, that could mean leaving a job or keeping your mouth shut or going out for a jog. Whatever it means, just do it.

In commitment, there is no compromise. In that way, commitment is easy because you KNOW the path you are ALWAYS going to take. No negotiation, no procrastination, no compromise, no fear.

RESPONSIBILITY

The predominant attitude you have is WHATEVER IT TAKES. This attitude is not only for your highest good; it is for the highest good of the team. Every action you take and every thought you think ripples out into the human family and determines who we are. How is that for responsibility?

Great leaders take responsibility for their team.

Do you take complete responsibility for you? Better yet, do you take responsibility for Team Earth? Are you here to do whatever it takes to raise the human family and our Earth to a higher dimension? If not you, who? If not now, when?

The team does not reach its greatest heights until we each give 100 percent. And what does that mean, giving our best? It means being totally open in mind and heart and willing to respond in full to the Universal Force.

It is getting out of the way for the divine to be expressed. It is the willingness to let go of anything that hinders us from realizing and expressing our authentic self. It is simply refusing to acknowledge anything that stands in the way of our greatness.

FREE WILL

We each are endowed with free will. How we use that free will determines the depth and breadth of our perspective. Do we choose a perception of the limited, smaller self or do we allow our free will to dissolve into the infinite Universal Will? Making the commitment to ourselves and our team is taking the consciousness “step” out of the conditioned mind and into the unity of which we exist.

When we see and experience the greatness in ourselves, we will naturally see it in others, regardless of appearances. If we see faults in ourselves, we will see faults in others. So, who cares if there are those in the 6.8 billion who are “all wrong.”

See the greatness of spirit within them. They will rise to your vision of them. They long for it; they just need someone who can show them their perfection and purity.

You see, it all starts with what goes on inside each of us. We each have a special role to play on the team, and it is our responsibility to live that role to the fullest. And when we all do, we will be a team like none other in the universe.

Yes, it will be worth what we have given to the cause, and many times over. But we each have to take care of our business and “give it up” for the team. We have to be everything we can be for the team to be all it can be.

The Unity of the Team

Commitment is the conscious decision to live the passion that resides within us. It is answering the call to come Home, to be who we truly are, to live our best life. And it is a passion for Team Earth, because each of us is a cell in the human organism.

When we care as much about Team Earth as we do ourselves, it is then that we feel the unity of the team. It is then we become greater than our individual selves. When we love ourselves deeply, Team Earth is feeling that love. It is that love.

So in your darkest, toughest moments, know that there are billions with you, behind you, supporting you and cheering you to be your highest self. And as you are your highest self, know that you are being applauded by the millions, the masses. We shine in glee when you follow your highest good and we have the deepest appreciation for it. We love you for simply being who you are. We need you and we thank you.

You have a very specific and incredibly important role to play.

It is equally important to all the roles that your teammates are playing on Team Earth. Tending to your outside garden is equal with being the political leader of a nation. We all contribute in our own way, the role the Universal Force, our expanded self, sees for us to play. And we do it in such great joy and love.

We are all on the team and we’re all in the game. How are you playing the game? The time for half-heartedness is gone. It’s all or nothing. It’s your moment to step up and shine in the spotlight. It’s time to carry the team forward.

Game on. Are you in?

The Missing Link

by Scott Rabalais -

We live in a time filled with repeated cries for change but how does effective change come about? How do we create that which is a reflective of perfection? How can we be ensured that our thoughts and actions create a divine result?

From where does harmony originate?

The answers are clear when following the path from results to source.
  • Step 1: Results to Actions: Results come from actions. If we want to spruce up a house, we can drive to the store and purchase some paint, then apply the paint to the house. The action leads to the result - a spruced-up house.
  • Step 2: Actions to Thoughts: Actions originate from thoughts. There cannot be action without there first being thought. Everything on our planet was manifested from thought. The result of a freshly-painted house came from the thought to improve the appearance of the house. So, thought precedes action.
  • Step 3: Thoughts to Consciousness: Thought originates from consciousness. Consciousness is a field of vibration and energy. Thought is energy received and transmitted by the mind/brain. There are various levels or realms of consciousness from which this thought energy is emitted. We attract such thought energy to ourselves based on the level or type of consciousness (energy) we are experiencing.
  • Step 4: Consciousness to Results: Linking step one to step three, it is apparent that results are based in consciousness. This leads to the idea that if we desire a change in results, we can go the the root of all results, actions and thoughts -- consciousness. But from what field of consciousness do the thoughts originate?

UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS

Even among the most knowledgeable, if the thinking is born from separation consciousness the results will reflect such a consciousness. Separation consciousness is "in the box" thinking, with a limited scope and possibility.

Unity consciousness is "out of the box" thought, with unlimited scope and possibility. Unity consciousness is able to assess a situation created in separation consciousness and use universal energy and intelligence to ultimately bring positive results to any situation at hand.

Assessment of a situation from separation says, "We have analyzed this and logic tells us that we should move in direction X as a remedy."

Offering the situation to unity consciousness and responding to its direction says, "This situation is what it is. I receive from unity consciousness the knowledge and direction to take. Unity consciousness knows and sees all, far more than my limited separation consciousness and personal knowledge can grasp."

Many paradigms emanating from psychological observation and study recognize the inherent links between results, action and thought. However, few constructs recognize the basis of thought in consciousness. As a result, much effort is applied at the action and thought level to modify results, rather than going to the basic level of consciousness.

A HARMONIOUS SOCIETY

An example of this can be found in our collective desire for a harmonious society -- an intended result. A harmonious society may mean that we all drive safely, do not take one another's possessions, do not act in violent ways, etc. In an effort to create such harmonious action, laws are passed to affect such behavior.

Laws are thought constructs created with the intent to produce lawful behavior or action. Though the laws are no guarantee such harmony will occur (many laws are broken), it is what has been deemed most effective out of separation consciousness.

Unity consciousness is the "missing link" on the planet Earth.

It is the answer to every problem, every challenge, every issue we face today.

All so-called "problems" that we face, every perception of disharmony and disorder in our lives, can be solved in unity consciousness.

Various solutions and remedies from separation are offered, some apparently more effective than others. But they are still separation oriented; they are still cultivated from separation thinking. It is only when unity consciousness is realized that we can and will experience paradise on Earth. We are one step away.

Beyond the Law of Attraction

by Scott Rabalais -

There is much abuzz these days regarding the Law of Attraction. The general premise behind such works is that we attract into our lives that which is sourced from our thoughts and our emotions. And to a degree, this is true. But there is more to the picture!

From unified consciousness, all is energy and all is interconnected. It's a unified field of infinite possibility. We are all and all is us. So where does this idea come from that we could possibly experience a shortage or lack of any sort? If the whole world -- and beyond -- is at our fingertips, how could we be in a state of want?

The separation consciousness does not recognize the unified field. Instead, seeing existence as a divided field, what's yours is yours and what's mine is mine. The separation consciousness sees what I am now, or what I have, and what I want to be or have. This creates an inner chasm, a sense of want, a tension between what is and what is desired.

"Want" is a quality of separation consciousness and does not exist in unified consciousness. In biblical terms, the passage "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want," can be interpreted to mean that in unified consciousness (God consciousness), there is no sense of want or lack. The mere thought of want is an acknowledgment that there is lack, thus the chasm and inner tension.

Our culture is ever-ready to respond to this sense of want or lack, advertising that we can be fulfilled by a particular object or idea or that which will satisfy our sense of want. However, in separation consciousness, once a want is fulfilled and the chasm apparently filled in, that state of separation will create another chasm, as the inner chasm is its nature. So, we keep on wanting and wanting in an endless cycle.

This is why we live under such an illusion that if we can just get that higher status or newer car or bigger house or faster boat we can be complete. And while we experience a momentary high when obtaining our latest prize (temporarily filling in the chasm), the sense of want soon returns and the chasm reappears.

Modern capitalism exists and thrives with the sense of want, or separation consciousness. Those with lots of money and resources are seen as the "heroes" of the capitalist culture, as if they can close the chasm with their financial power. However, those with great resources typically just have larger chasms to try to fill, unless they have learned to serve as a positive channel for their wealth.

So how do we overcome this nagging sense of want?

Our unified consciousness acts as a magnet for all that is needed and necessary in our lives. This is not to say that we should live with either paltry funds or exorbitant riches. Instead, it means that all that is required for us to live and function as fully-realized human beings is there. It's the inexorable breath of life - we give out, it comes in.

The Law of Attraction, then, is as much a quality as a law -- that we are human magnets by our nature and as a magnet attracts only by its being and its very nature, so do we. This statement can be misunderstood to mean that we can just sit in a chair all day and the world will come to our doorstep. Yet, part of our innate "being" is a joyful, flowing and natural expression of ourselves through action and creativity.

The magnetic attraction of our being brings to us what is rightfully "ours" based on consciousness and vibration, be it people, ideas, money, goods, energy, shelter and so on. It is only the conditioned mind that believes we don't have enough in the moment and that we need more to be complete.

From the unified state, wherever and whatever we are, we are complete.

But why do we feel incomplete so often? Just as a foreign object can disturb a magnetic field, so can our thinking disturb our magnetic force. If we think negatively or create poor self-esteem, our field may be blocked and the abundance that is rightly ours can be blocked.

It's a matter of mentally/emotionally "getting out of the way" so that life in all its forms can flow through us. Another blockage can occur when we (from separation consciousness) compare that which others have and do with our own personal status.

The unified consciousness does not compare (yet another inner chasm) and is fully accepting and deeply appreciative for that which is.

The universe is most efficient -- it does not waste.

While the conditioned mind wants for more and more, the universe will provide that which is sufficient to one's purpose and being. It's much like eating a meal -- one feels best when the hunger is just satisfied. But when the mind wants more and one overeats (inefficient), the body does not feel well. The additional food was just not necessary. Perhaps this explains to a degree the high levels of obesity in America, higher than any country in the world.

We want more, more, more -- a reflection of the separation consciousness at work. We are trying to feed the insatiable hunger of want that is created in separation consciousness, and yet we can expand to unified consciousness and the sense of want dissipates.

Imagine having all that you will ever need, having great joy in any given moment and situation, being most appreciative of it all, never having to ask for anything and being infinitely content. That's unified consciousness. That's the kingdom of God, as in "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all else will be added unto you."

Once you experience unified consciousness, the rest will take care of itself.

Describing Unity Consciousness

by Scott Rabalais -

The experience of unity consciousness is transcendent, beyond mind. To describe (or attempt to describe) the experience of unity consciousness with the use of conceptual language inherent in the mind is quite difficult.

It's similar to describing the feeling of falling in love or the birth of a child -- difficult to put into words, or, just the right words.

Words are labels, and labels are by their nature limiting. Just as one cannot accurately describe infinity, one cannot accurately describe unity consciousness.

The words used in the futile attempt to describe unity consciousness can, however, serve as a bridge to the experience of oneness.

No two individuals will view a oneness experience alike.

If two persons traveled to the North Pole, one may describe the experience as an opportunity to view mammoth and beautiful glacial formations. Yet, the other may complain of the bitterly cold conditions.

It's all in the eye of the beholder, yet there may be common threads in the descriptions of those who have the beyond-mind experience.

In stark contrast to our interpretation of life in a dualistic manner, one may be struck by the inherent connectedness of all life in the oneness state.

No longer is one separate as an individual, seeing all as outside or beyond the borders of self. Rather than being exclusive, all of life is viewed a part of one's self.

The trees, the plants, rocks, other persons, sand on the beach, space, time, thought, love — everything is you and you are everything. It is one gigantic unified relationship in the ocean of existence. It's crossing the bridge from "little ol' me" to "infinity. "

While in the dualistic state there might have been ignorance, mysteries or unanswered questions, now it all makes complete sense.

While it may seem that experiencing this infinite connectedness could be a burden on the brain, the experience itself is one of utter tranquility.

Whereas the nature of the dualistic "reality" causes an on-going tension or battle in thought, the oneness experience is a fusion of any such tension into an infinite peace.

Everything is "just fine" or "just perfect" about life. Actually, it feels beyond perfect in this infinite sea of tranquility.

The stormy waters of life subside and there is perfect and undeniable calmness to the waters. It is true and unfathomable peace.

Inherent within the unity consciousness is a deep understanding of life as never before. While in the dualistic state there might have been ignorance, mysteries or unanswered questions, now it all makes complete sense. You KNOW, though not in an intellectual manner.

You know because you have become the experience, and it's closer to you and more a part of you than the air you breathe. It is in every cell of the body, between every cell, and then some.

You are no longer a wandering soul, but one who is firmly entrenched in Truth, fully realized.

You are present. No longer is there is concept of time and space. There is no yesterday or tomorrow. There is no here nor there.

Any descriptions relating to time do not exist, as mental constructs are simply washed away. Even saying all is NOW fails as a description, as time ceases to exist.

One expands in appreciation through the oneness experience.

EVERYTHING has immense value, from the atom in a grain of sand, to the little ant scurrying about, to every hair on our head, to the wind blowing in the trees, to every star in the sky. There is no value system in the sense that someone or something is more important than another.

With all being an inherent part of infinite consciousness (often termed "God"), every aspect of existence has infinite value.

Judgments made outside of this experience have come only from the mind of man, which but its very nature, creates hierarchical structures.

Though we have been strongly indoctrinated that activity or doing is the key to a successful and productive life, we see differently when we transcend.

Instead, we see being as a core of, well, our being. It becomes enough to just "stand still," as a tree would stand firm on the ground, and simply exist.

Such does not imply that one would only sit in a corner and refrain from using the mind and body; what it means is that we now more fully understand that we are no longer as identified with our actions, roles and accomplishments.

We are full and complete in just being; we no longer feel the need to become someone. There is immense value in our nature, in who we are at our very core, without moving a finger.

Perhaps the most dramatic aspect of the unity experience is that we are transformed. Though we are still the person we were before the experience, we are very different.

It is as if the old self is peeled away, and what emerges is this creature of life, love, understanding, peace and contentment.

It is a new life that feels "closer to home" or that one has arrived.

There is no place for fear, doubt or worry, as those are seen only as remnants of the dualistic mind. There is no sense of lack, as the universe of abundance and infinite intelligence is now at one's call.

There is only allowing, the unfolding of life in its perfect manifestation of our higher nature. You are a flower in bloom, though fully bloomed.

Life is a magnificent paradox.

And as inspiring and uplifting as these words may sound, they doubtfully convey even a fraction of a percentage of the experience.

It's life beyond words, beyond thought, into a land beyond where our imaginations are able to travel.

There's no way to comprehend it all with our limited minds and yet we can experience enough of it to understand that, regardless of shape, size, status or place in life, we are inherently divine.

The Nature of Synchronicity

by Scott Rabalais -

Patience is good. Synchronicity is better.

Patience can be defined as bearing or enduring without complaint. It is the act of "giving time" to that which will come to fruition. It is the hope of things to come.

Note that patience implies the waiting game, that is, "I don't have it now but with time it will come to me." For example, suppose I have plans to work in my garden this morning.

However, a storm has appeared and the weather prohibits me from tending to the garden. I can say to myself, "I will be patient and in due time I will be able to work in my garden." And wait I will.

I can easily become anxious, as I sit and watch the weather pass by, waiting, waiting and waiting furthermore.

On the other hand, synchronicity is that which knows no waiting or enduring.

It recognizes that all is complete in the moment. It provides all in this very moment. It knows there is a perfect time and place for all and one who experiences synchronicity knows of the harmony between the person and the completeness of the moment.

One in synchronicity is not waiting for the rain to stop so that the garden may be tilled, but instead appreciates the rain in all its splendor, along with the situation that it creates in the moment.

Instead of tending to the garden, the fall of the rain may give me reason to sit down and write a letter to an old friend.

So rather than focusing on what could be done, I instead focus on that which is in the moment and what is given to me irrespective of my plans or wishes.

From a separation consciousness point of view, patience is that which fills the chasm of time.

From the position of now, I project that I want something to occur that is currently in the position of later.

There is a chasm -- between the present and the future. That is the "reality" of time that we create in our heads and yet time is not real. Or, it is real only so far as we construct it out of our separation consciousness.

Synchronicity works in the now and only in the now. It is the result of full acceptance and allowance of life and its quality of flow. It is born from the stillness of the mind, in listening to that which is brought to us by the universe.

It is the natural flow of life, irrespective of our conditioning, our wants and our plans. When we drop the thinking, that which is beyond thought is allowed to manifest itself in our experience. And the quality of such manifestation is Perfection, is synchronistic and is divine. It's getting out of the way for The Way.

Synchronicity is the essence of unity consciousness, a quality of the natural flow of life.

The flower blooms in perfect synchronicity with the natural elements of the sun, the water, the wind and the soil.

It does not hope to bloom in the winter nor does does it have plans or wishes to bloom during the cold months.

Instead, it lives in a synchronistic relationship with all elements in its experience and grows when it is best for it to be supported by the elements and vice versa. It blooms at its perfect time, in harmony with that which surrounds it and interrelates with it.

Patience is waiting. How can one be complete if one is waiting for that which is not yet evident? Even patient waiting is waiting.

Like the passenger in the train station awaiting the arrival of his train, he may be on the constant outlook for the appearance of the train down the tracks. In his constant glances down the track, he is anxious and in desire of that which is not yet in his experiential field.

Instead, he may have a seat on a station bench, taking pleasure in watching lilies sway in the field across the tracks.

As he does so, lo and behold, the train will come into his awareness in its own time. And it is in that moment he can bring his awareness to the arrival of the train. It is in the moment.

Synchronicity is a gift of the universe, available to use in every moment.

It is the subtle and sweet music of existence that we can hear if we only listen. If we attend only to the clamoring of our minds, we will be unable to manifest the harmonious flow of synchronicity from unity consciousness.

Our dance to this synchronistic flow is experiential ecstasy. It is the effortless dance of the of the self with the universe.
