Cultivating the Flow of Abundance

by Sharon Marquart -

Consciously open your heart, mind, mouth, your thoughts, words and actions to the flow of abundance. Observe yourself giving and receiving.

Today let’s cultivate the flow of abundance.

Use affirmations today that remind you that you live in the flow of abundance.
  • “I live in the flow of abundance.”
  •  “I give and receive with ease.”
  •  “I live in the flow.”

Repeating affirmations does several things.
  • It creates new thought patterns in your mind.
  • It creates new energy patterns in your aura.
  • It creates new pathways in your brain that create hormones; chemicals that change the way you feel and the emotions you experience.

Remember that many of us live in what I call “default” programming. We go back to the ways we were programmed to experience life from childhood.

When making a change, it is important to put forth extra effort in the beginning of the change so that the brain and chemistry of the body changes fully.

Open the Tap

I believe the Universe is the infinite supply of energy that is ever-expanding and in constant motion.

So when I open the tap by getting into the feeling of abundance – peace, love, joy, freedom, even asking for what I desire – there is no option for the Universe to respond with, “sorry you can’t have that, there is not enough, you have too much already, I’ll get to you later.”

When I use my mind to open the tap, to tune into the feeling of abundance, it is there energetically flooding every cell of my being. The Universe is actually doing what it is designed to do – EXPAND!

And when I keep the tap closed or at a slow drip because, “how can I feel peace when so many others don’t?” or “how can I have more, when so many others have nothing.?” I am actually taking myself out of the flow and shutting down the Divine creativity of the expanding Universe that WANTS to flow through me.

The choice is yours!

Live in the flow of abundance fully today.

Living at YES!

Is Your Mind Off and Running?

  -

Between the time you hear the buzz of your alarm and you reach over to hit the snooze button, your mind is off and running.

It races through the list of things you need to do first thing this morning before you get out the door. You rush through your morning chores, taking care of the needs of the family, the children, the pets and then yourself.

Then there is the list of things you didn’t get done yesterday, the errands that you can hopefully squeeze in at lunchtime, and remember that report due today at work. Oh yea, what’s for dinner?

We jump into the day head first hoping that we can swim to the shore of tomorrow in one piece.

When you begin your day in this frenzied mind you are exhausted before your feet hit the floor.

There must be a better way!

There is. I call it “begin within.”

I am sure that at sometime in your life you have a memory of feeling peace. Maybe it happened when you sat quietly drinking a cup of coffee or tea, enjoying its flavor.

Perhaps it was when you sat on the park bench watching the squirrels play the birds feeding. If you practice yoga you may have felt peaceful as you sat in quiet reflection.

There is a peace that we can all experience. Peace begins within.

If you want to have peace in your day you must cultivate it by taking time to begin within.

It only takes a few minutes everyday to build a relationship with your peaceful heart.

Sitting quietly in contemplation with your mind focused on your heart, even if it is in the time between the alarm and the snooze is enough time to make a huge difference in the way your day flows.

Move through your day differently.

Instead of praying that you arrive at the shore of tomorrow in one piece, begin within and feel the Oneness of Peace.

Begin Within.

Spiritual Freedom

by Sharon Marquart -

Spiritual freedom is the energy of the heart. No matter where you live, the circumstances of your life or if you practice a religion or not, you have the freedom to tap into the energy of your heart. The energy of the heart is the Spirit that gives you life. Each one of us, all humans on this planet, can tap into the energy of their heart.

As each individual taps into their heart's energy and allows this energy to guide their thoughts, words and deeds, together we will evolve into One Heart and One Spirit.

Learning and experiencing heart energy is vital to the evolution of our human race and the healing of the planet.

Celebrating spiritual freedom is the first step.

The beliefs of a religion can appeal to our intellect and the spirit of the religion can appeal to our heart. Religion is what gives shape and form to a particular belief system. Religion provides Holy Books, teachings, rituals and guidelines for followers to use.

Following a religion can give a sense of security by having a system of beliefs while providing connection to a community. For some, it is a necessity to belong to a religion - having beliefs gives structure to their lives. And, there is a Spirit at the heart of every religion that frequently is forgotten and lost in the practice of the religion. You can be a member of a religious community and tap into the true Spirit of that religion, thus celebrating Spiritual freedom.

Some find it challenging to feel the spiritual essence of their religion so they abandon their religion in order to experience their heart energy. Those who say they are "Spiritual, not religious" typically are saying they believe in the Spirit of life without adhering to the structure of a religious belief. Spirituality has become a "buzz" word to mean that you're not religious.

With the concept One Heart and One Spirit, it makes no difference whether you follow a specific religion.

Remember, Oneness is one, without division.

With or without a religion, you can tap into the energy of your heart. Bringing the head and the heart together in Oneness is dynamic. Once this is achieved, you can join the collective movement of conscious living. Heart energy is the same for everyone.

Heart energy is loving, kind and compassionate.

Every one of us has a desire to love and to be loved. When your heart energy leads you, you are less judgmental about life's circumstances and others' actions. Heart energy gives you inner wisdom to guide your actions.

When you have a sense of security from within, you see more similarities than differences and connections with others are made heart to heart.

Celebrating Spiritual Freedom is important for every one of us. Once we master this ability, where we place our focus expands. If each person who reads this article will take a moment to celebrate spiritual freedom by tapping into his or her heart energy, the global consciousness of One Heart, One Spirit will expand. And that is a freedom to celebrate!

Spiritual Freedom Exercise:
Sit comfortable. Allow your breath to find it's own pace.
As your breath slows, your thoughts will slow. Place your awareness at the center of your chest, closest to your heart energy. With each exhale, feel the release of tension and the awareness of your heart energy grow stronger. In each inhale feel the energy of your heart moving.
Perhaps you actually see it as a swirling circle or spiral of energy. Where you place your attention expands. See the expansion of your heart energy growing larger than your heart space and extending out into your life.
As you sit in this energy, bring to your mind the sense of spiritual freedom.
Sit it the celebration of this feeling for a few moments. If there is a situation in your life that is restricted or confined, bless it with the energy of your heart. You are free to feel and apply this energy to whatever may be going on in your life.
Take a few moments to sit in the presence of your heart energy. Celebrate the freedom it offers you.
Take time daily to practice this spiritual freedom exercise. It takes but a few minutes and makes such a positive shift in how you view your day.

Solutions for Getting Back on Track

by Sharon Marquart -

A Witty Approach to Getting Back on Track if You Have taken a Left Turn on the Road to Happiness:

7 Problem Solving Solutions

We all begin life traveling on the “road to happiness.” At some point during this journey we may come to realize we turned left when we meant to turn right; which sidetracks us and puts us on plan “D” instead of plan “A”.

Life’s not exactly “unhappy” - it’s just not as fulfilling as we know it can be. We begin to feel as if life became” sabotaged” somewhere along the way. Now it’s time to regain control and get back on track. You just need to readjust the road map!

That said, you are at “choice point.” Maybe your choice is to continue what you’re doing. OK. Just don’t expect different results.

Maybe your choice is to do something different to get different results. Once we set a direction in life, all our habits, behaviors and choices either support or sabotage us in reaching that destination.

Let’s take a look at some choices that may be sabotaging your life and solutions that will support getting you back on track.

SABOTAGING CHOICES & SUPPORTIVE SOLUTIONS

#1 Sabotage - Hit the floor running and don’t stop ‘til you drop. Fill your schedule to overflowing so that even taking a moment to catch your breath leaves you hyperventilating!

Solution – Follow the airplane rule, “put your oxygen mask on first.” Before you wake each morning, give yourself a moment to be still with yourself.

Consciously take a few deep breaths. Visualize your day flowing smoothly and easily as you continue to consciously breathe. On today’s calendar, block out 15 minutes and write your name in “pen.” Set your cell phone alarm.

When the time arrives, use it to sit and do nothing but consciously breathe. Doing this ensures that you put on your oxygen mask first.

#2 Sabotage - Hang out with toxic people who criticize, judge and carry around all their emotional baggage. For added effect and drama, make sure you unpack these people often.

Solution – Find the “balcony people” of your life. The people who always have “the best seats in the house”- those who make sure to see things “from the top.”

There is at least one person who sees the best in you. Make contact with them frequently. Let them cheer you on, inspire, motivate and support you.

Begin to create your “team” of balcony people- your own cheering section! (Keep in mind these people are different from the “nosebleed section people.” – those who can’t see anything beyond the tips of their own noses and are committed to sabotaging anyone who attempts to get better seats than them. )

#3 Sabotage – Procrastinate! – Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow!? Let’s face it, if you let something go long enough, it may just disappear altogether and you’ll be “off the hook,” right?

Solution – Procrastination is a symptom of a deeper issue and instead of being “let off the hook,” you’re often left “hanging” your head in guilt. Why would you need to feel guilty?

You don’t, but you probably have a fear of succeeding and guilt guards you from this fear. (And those guards have some pretty hefty armor, don’t they!?) Instead of lugging around all that heavy guilt, break free, connect with your “balcony people” and let them cheer you on to victory each and every time you follow through!

Count all these victories and as they add up, let them empower you to take the next step to success.

#4 Sabotage - Hold onto the “right” attitude and make sure you’re never wrong. It will keep you feeling like you’re in control.

Solution - It takes so much energy to be right all the time. Plus you really miss out on other ideas that can enhance your life.

Learn to apologize. Learn to forgive. Learn to receive. Learn how to listen. (I could be wrong, but my guess is that there will be many treasures waiting for you when you give yourself permission to not always be right!)

#5 Sabotage - Fill your life with clutter, stuff and mountains of paperwork. Keep all the drawers empty and the tabletops full!

Solution - Clutter creates confusion. Confusion clogs your life’s energy flow, your ability to think clearly and to be creative. Clear your space. Begin small.

Sometimes it helps to set an alarm for 15 minutes and begin. Take in small bites. As you clear the clutter, even a small corner, allow yourself to feel good. Exhale. Let that good feeling motivate you for another 15 minutes. You’ll be amazed at how quickly de-cluttering clears the mind.

#6 Sabotage - Ignore self-care. After all, your mind and body are only the mechanics that keep your life running. You put gas in your car and send it for six month tune-ups; why is extending the mileage on a heap of metal and glass more important than extending the mileage on your life’s journey?

Solution - Taking care of the “self” is a number 1 priority. It is important to remember all areas of self: mind, body and spirit. To begin, make one change in one area.

For the body: eat a piece of fruit every day, drink a glass of water, and say one nice thing about yourself when you look in the mirror. For the mind: have an intellectually stimulating conversation with someone; read a book; watch a group of children discovering the world at a playground during your lunch break.

For the spirit: sit quietly every day, subscribe to a daily inspiration and share your gratitude daily. You’ll be amazed at how much more mileage you get with just a little self care.

#7 Sabotage - Expect perfection or “black and white” solutions for everything. – If it’s perfect, there’s no room for option or choice, which means you don’t have to deal with it!

Solution - There is no such thing as “perfect.” Perfect is a relative term. Striving to be perfect fits into the category of needing to be right.

Redefine your standards. Consider the option of making gray the “new black” when it comes to savvy thinking!

In reality, each of us practice all 7 of these sabotaging behaviors, so you’re not alone. But you’re also not necessarily in the best of company, either.

These alternate ways of thinking and problem solving solutions allow you to begin to make a shift in the way you live your life, make the right turn and get back on track.

Choose one solution and begin to put it into practice. You can make a change to empower yourself and you can ask for help in creating a new pattern. Be inspired this week to stop sabotaging your life and get back on the road to happiness.
