Seeing Beyond the Horizon

I am writing this from a remote rustic town in Alaska, tucked in and surrounded by the high Chugach Mountains.

I live in the valley where the beautiful emerald green Kenai Lake and river flow many miles on their journey to eventually join the Pacific Ocean.

In the winter months here in Cooper Landing there are only five hours of daylight as the sun dips behind the mountains from November through January. 

We celebrated the winter solstice with light from bonfires and warm hearty foods while singing and drumming under the full moon.

It is for this reason that it is important to be able to see beyond the horizon. While we can’t see over the top of the mountains and see the sun, we do know that it is there and will eventually reappear. 

The natives here revere the ravens, as they believe that the raven stole the sunlight from one who would keep the world in darkness. To them, raven was the creator of life and order. As the ravens sit outside my window each day in the old Cottonwood tree, I am reminded of this belief and honor their presence.

How do we create the freedom to see beyond the horizon when we can’t physically see it?


Meditation and visualization allow us to journey into our spiritual limitlessness. 

I know this personally, as I have spent many hours on a warm tropical beach using the healing techniques of the ocean waves while being here in my cozy arctic nest. When I work with my phone clients, I encourage them to do the same as we visualize their fear patterns being given to the sea for release. 

In your meditation, feel yourself stretch beyond the horizon and into the divine consciousness of the Universe. 

True freedom isn’t a physical condition or situation.

It is the ability to open our hearts with a quiet mind and experience the vastness of pure unconditional love and joy. Dare to be free to love, dance and shine the light for others to follow.

Self-love is where true freedom begins.

Balancing Masculine & Feminine

This is not about the battle of masculine and feminine where many continue to get frozen in time. It is not about war with each other. It's about embracing the understanding of the masculine and feminine within each of you so that you can bring it as a piece of whole truth, not half-truth.

The feminine spirit that has been reawakened in all here on the planet, out of considerable necessity, will help heal the Earth -- it must be reawakened for ultimate healing of the planet. 

Each of you have a masculine and feminine energy in your being and both need to be activated and brought to an equal place.

If you're doing battle with the outside masculine and feminine gender, you can assume that you are most definitely in inner conflict with yourself. You need the balance of both aspects of masculine and feminine energy, which has nothing to do with gender. 

It is about energy and this is why, of course, all the confusion at this time which seems to be brought to the focus of sexuality, when that is clearly not the issue.

The issue is of energy. So, when you find others about you who are angry with the opposite gender, ask them to look inside and heal, not project more isolation and separation to the outside world.

The Earth at this time and all beings who walk upon it need to be loved, need to be held, need to be held in community, in connection to Truth, not separate.

It is time to bring balance, because you cannot take the next step without being in balance. You have been walking on one foot. 

You must be at peace --you must be balanced to take these next steps and for those of you who have this illusion that being alone is balanced, you need to take a further, deeper look inside. You can be balanced on the inside emotionally as much as you can be but that is only one piece or one side of the scale.

You had to learn to do the solo to understand and learn the dance. You had to learn to dance by the self so that you did not dance in dependence with another.

However, one can only hold energy so long by the dance of themselves. This is nothing about relationships of the past. This is about connection to energy balances of the now, so that you're walking foundation and truth, not confusion and chaos but balance and harmony. 

Do not find it a coincidence that you will be touched with a new heart-opening situation, whether it be in the connection that you are already in or a further one that will come along the path.

This is the new step to take you higher. This next step needs to be taken so that you will fully understand balance, because when you start to live in balance, you will live a more passionate fulfilled life.

Open to balance and you will open to Joy!

Alignment of Consciousness

The alignment of consciousness is not so much about what we do, but about how we feel. 

At times our lives can be extremely challenging. We may feel frustrated, depressed, and even fearful. In the midst of such challenges, we may wonder how to live a more balanced life.

One key to remember is that all of our experiences lead us to the next step on our spiritual journey. Indeed, it is important for us to understand that we already have all that we truly need to take our next steps into alignment.

INTO ALIGNMENT 

Alignment in life means that we are balanced throughout our mind, body and spirit. This is important because when we are not in balance we are stressed, and long-term stress ultimately leads to disease.

So, how do we shift our lives into balance? 

One way to begin is by living intuitively and trusting our guidance.

In working with clients and supporting the development of intuition, I often remind them that there will be times when guidance takes us into situations in which we may not feel comfortable at first. However, this is all part of learning to trust.

LEARNING TO TRUST 

Three years ago, I was guided to leave my well-settled, very comfortable and familiar life in Vermont and move to Alaska. Many, including my family, thought I had gone off the deep end in a traditional mid-life crisis!

After 30 years in Vermont, did I really want to leave my life and holistic practice to go — where?! As I packed up my life and sold my house, I discovered that I had many fears to release. 

I wondered why I was called to Alaska, and how I would come to be in balance and aligned in such a different lifestyle so far away.

As time went on, however, I realized that I needed to go beyond my comfort zone, to stretch myself in both my faith and alignment.

SOUL LESSONS 

Our inner soul searching will always take us where we need to go. It doesn’t support us to skip over our lessons, or go around them. For each lesson reveals the next rung on the ladder of our spiritual path. 

In working with clients, I sometimes feel their urge to hurry through a particular lesson, especially when it is challenging.

I remind them that a soul lesson is here until we learn it. Only then will it be released. If it is not released, it will come around again in a new form.


TAKE THE PLUNGE

Joy comes in finding that when we make aligned changes in our life we are provided for. Each time I have taken a deep plunge into the unknown I realized later that it was the dive that was the scary part—not the unknown.

Of course, the first step into the unknown is never easy; it can be terrifying. But this is how we make the next shifts in our consciousness: by letting go of our fears and taking the plunge into the new.

Shifts into deeper soul alignment often have a quality of inner release. The rational mind does not have a major role in this.

Instead, alignment may come in meditation or by sitting quietly, in letting messages come through to our conscious mind, and in relying and acting on the messages that speak to our intuition.

As you take steps to align on deeper levels, the results may be felt in your body. You will become more peaceful, experience less stress, and have a desire to take better care of yourself with diet, exercise and meditation.

You may notice how you are more relaxed and full of positive energy. Unhealthy situations or people will either change or be released from your life. 

You may find yourself changing careers, friends, spouses, hobbies.

As you see the shifts in yourself—and as others begin to notice—you will begin to trust more in the process. Always remember that you are never given more than you can handle, or anything that you cannot do.

The alignment of consciousness is not so much about what we do but about how we feel. It is not what job we do; it is how we feel when we do it.

It's not whom we connect with; it's how we feel when we connect with that person.

When we are living with joy and passion, we are in alignment; we feel alive and energized; our lives are running smoothly and effortlessly; and we teach others simply by being who we are how to live joyfully.

  Joy is our choice!

How to Have Profound Intuitive Guidance, Joy and Limitlessness

Our planet seems to be in a bit more in turmoil than usual with a fog of fear surrounding us. We need to understand that this fog is an illusion partially created by the energies of our own planet as well as outside influences from other dimensions. 

We are greatly affected by other dimensions and we can see this in the planetary shifts much like the one we experienced with the powerful Harmonic Concordance. 

We are in a time where shifting has become a way of life for us and to most of us it feels like it has speeded up.

We are moving through time that has more light and fluid energy and continual astrological shifts. It seems as though days go by, months, years, very quickly now. 

For all of us there seems to be major movements whether they are in relationship, vocation or global community.

Releasing fear 

There is a much easier flow like the flow of the river if we continue to release fear and shift into the new dimension. 

This shifting of our fear patterns is the key to becoming light enough to shift into the next dimensions. The fear patterns of lack keep us in this dimension and very dense. 

When you release the fear patterns and open to the abundance of the universal energy, you will help fill the world with these teachings. The fear patterns are on cellular levels and come from this life and others.

We also have the cellular memory level of total love and light that is disrupted by the fear patterns and we forget who we are. It is like the radio station is not quite in tune and you hear the static. 

Fear brings the static into our lives and when we feel this, we need to clear them so that the guidance comes in more clearly. 

These intuitive messages come in more clearly when the static is removed and you can live your life through the divine guidance that is supporting you on your spiritual path to go forward in alignment. 

The more sensitive you become to the scrambling, the easier it is to release the fear patterns.

Physical manifestations of the patterns 

When we don't listen clearly to the scrambling of the fear, we will absorb it into our physical bodies and manifest discomforts and pains. It seems like nothing helps move this. 

The movement can only be done on an energetic level when you release the pattern of density and let your energy flow smoothly again. 

Light and love will pour in and you will feel everything in your life being uplifted. 

When you are feeling vulnerable in your life, strengthen yourself with drinking water, exercise, and emotional healing through loving yourself unconditionally. 

Meditation is very powerful for doing this, and you will relax your mind, which is where the fear is produced and held. 

Remember to listen to your body and allow yourself to heal through your own guidance. When you need to eat, eat, when you need to sleep, sleep and when you need to play, play. You begin to attune to your newness.

What is a light body? 

Our light bodies are the energy of who we really are. The more you release these old patterns and feel the lightness, everything around you shifts into more clarity and joy. 

This shift can only happen gradually as it is like peeling the skin of an onion. Each layer is important to take off and the next one appears for healing. It would not serve us to go any faster than we can go. 

This is an important piece as there will be others around us who say, “Just get over that pattern and get on with your life!” 

Each pattern needs to be dealt with faith and we need to go through it and not around it. If we do try and avoid it, it will only surface again in another way or time.

Shifts happen! 

Once these fear release techniques occur, our lives become more light and joy-filled. You will share these feelings with others and encourage them to release the old patterns they are carrying in their bodies. 

You will be able to have more profound intuitive guidance and feel the presence of the next dimension of truth. In essence, you begin to live the life of light, joy and limitlessness that we really are.
