Finding Synchronicity and Harmony in a Chaotic Universe

by Fox Chandler -
Space, contrary to what the writers of Star Trek may have us believe is not a quiet place.

We perceive it that way because the human ear can process only a minuscule portion (20Hz to 20,000Hz) of the electromagnetic radiation1 that is generated as a result of the energy unleashed by stars coming into existence, galaxies colliding and planets ceasing to be.
On entering a room full of strangers we encounter a similar experience. This time however it is noise not silence that is the problem. Crammed into that limited 20-20,000Hz bandwidth appears to be a chaos of conversations, laughter and nervous unease.
As we scan the room from our side of the threshold how can we quickly and accurately identify ‘friendly’ faces or a receptive group to join?
The same physics apply to our atoms as those that apply to black holes. Our atoms and their sub-atomic structures behave in exactly the same way in all regards including the emission of radio waves.
As our bodies go through the processes of simply being, our sub-atomic particles absorb and release discreet charges of electrical energy.

In doing so they set up a distinct, personalised radio-wavesignature.   These signatures are sufficiently distinct that they can indicate when all is well with an individual or whether an individual’s well-being is compromised.

It is this radio-wave signature that ancient cultures tuned into, and today’s energy healers seek to effect, as part of their spiritual healing practices. Modern science, slightly belatedly, now acknowledges these vibrational-energies as playing a leading role in our well-being.
Furthermore, and more importantly for those journeying in Awareness, research has shown that we are sensitised to the radio-waves emitted by others. Anyone who has attended a sports event will be familiar with the notion that there’s ‘something in the air’ as tensions quickly spread through the crowd.

On the Same Wave-Length
Neuroscientists now agree that during a conversation in which both parties experience mutual rapport, their respective brain activity is closely aligned.

So when it feels like you and another person are on the same wavelength, you are. Such experiences are a perfect example of the wonder of synchronicity3 and its powerful role in our everyday lives.
Synchronicity is evident in all that unites mankind and is absent from our existence when ego replaces compassion and we move towards conflict.

Synchronicity when heard in music is known as harmony4 which, as with much else in our Universe, is instructive. The opposite of harmony is dissonance – notes in conflict – rather than notes in resolution.

For those journeying in Awareness, seeking to live in harmony, it is essential that we open ourselves up and permit synchronicity to enter our lives.
Much within our lives, our relationships and endeavours is, due to the pressures of our modern world, trying to push aside harmony, to de-synchronise us.   We are left feeling as if we are walking up the down escalator.

It doesn’t help to push back against that which is causing us conflict, rather we should aim to carve out, within our lives, a greater space for synchronicities to manifest.
We can make space by doing the simple stuff; skipping newspapers (with their endless crises), switching of the TV (with its inexhaustible banalities), and avoid engaging with, and contributing to, office gossip.
Furthermore we can expand the space by doing similarly simple stuff: exploring our creative gifts, growing foods, engaging with nature, conversing with friends and family or even more simply, being still and appreciating the World for the wonderful place it is.
We can go further.
We can use this awareness of the power of synchronised radio-wave signatures to aid conflict resolution in our relationships.

When our tolerance is stretched our radio-wave signatures get re-mapped and we move out of sync. into dissonance.

This adversely impacts our ability to communicate due to the conflicts that this remapping sets up within our energy fields.   It’s why saying “sorry” and being perceived as being ‘sorry’ is not the same thing!
At such moments mentally switching sides – seeing the point of discord from the other’s perspective – can help return our radio-wave signature to their previous, harmonious setting enabling us to resolve conflict without permitting discord to colour our behaviours.
The Universe gave us synchronicity. By understanding it, trusting it and working with it we can put a little harmony back into the Universe.
Footnotes:
  1. Electromagnetic radiation propagates across the Universe in wave lengths from X rays to LW radio waves (extending to infinity at either end of the scale)
  2. Radio waves are part of the electromagnetic wave spectrum and the ‘signature’ is also referred to as the electromagnetic signature.
  3. Carl Yung defined synchronicity as two unlike events being experienced as a singular, meaningful event
  4. Harmony; n.
    a. Agreement in feeling or opinion; accord:  live in harmony.
    b. A pleasing combination of elements in a whole:  color harmony; the order and harmony of the universe.

The Principle of Harmony and Rhythm

by Julia Fairchild -

This principle is strikingly illustrated by placing a handful of iron filings on a thin sheet of metal and playing a certain musical note near the sheet. Wondrously, the filings arrange themselves into a pattern. Change the musical note and the filings rearrange themselves into another pattern.

Every sound has its vibrational pattern, and the visible filings demonstrate the invisible pattern of the sound.

Our thoughts are like the sound and the circumstances in life are like the iron filings.

The filings have no volition or will of their own. They simply fall into the vibrational pattern of the sound. In the same way, automobiles, money, food, jobs, and relationships have no particular will of their own. Their nature is to follow the direction of the waves of thoughts that we radiate.

Some say, "Look what I created!" Another way that could be said might be, "Look what I attracted!" The word circumstance neatly depicts the process; circum means around; stance means stand.

Circumstances are the conditions that stand around us, magnetized to us by the central core of our thought forms. Change the thoughts at the center of the energy field, and we change the conditions that stand around us.

There is a basic rhythm to all God’s creations – including us.

We notice it when we are quiet enough to listen. Each of us has a natural rhythm. Life is simple when we hear, feel and follow in harmony and rhythm.

Meditation visualization improve the ability to hear, feel and become more sensitive our inner self and the world around us.

As we practice being quiet, the inner self teaches us and we will see that miracles are natural expressions of love.

Often a piece of music is called beautiful because of the interplay and harmonious synchronization of the notes.

In fact, some music (such as Baroque) can actually program our format a person’s brain to facilitate learning. This harmonious interplay extends beyond the music for our ears.

The infinite intelligence of the universe is behind the rhythm and harmony we need in our lives.

As we become more practiced in using these principles, we realize the natural guidance is always there for us, forming a life into a divine pattern.

To increase our harmony and rhythm, we can increase our understanding of the information we receive from our five basic senses: touch, sight, taste, hearing and smell. Then we can become more aware of our other senses, such as intuition and awareness of energy.

When we are in harmony with these principles we draw upon the powers of nature or heaven. We are aware that all is in harmony; that all things work together for our good.

When we react to anger, confusion, anxiety, or fear in another person, we encourage the other person to believe he is presenting the truth. Another response could be to disregard the illusion the other person is expressing and see him as perfect and joyful.

We occasionally fall into the temptation to perceive ourselves as unfairly treated. We can be treated unfairly only by ourselves. We are only victims of the world, if we think we are.

Rather than what others or the world do to us, it is what we believe they have done to us, or what we believe we have done to ourselves that make up our problems.

Deprivation is the feeling we experience when we feel we are isolated or separate. We then project blame, anger, hate to others. They pick up the signal and play a part for us so we can feel that our anger, hate, or sadness is justified.

This signal is a vibration we radiate in our energy field. It’s somewhat like a call to others to come and play with us.

The signals we emit are received, processed, and reacted upon by those seeking that signal; they are tuned in to our broadcast, our vibration.

The ability to draw conditions to us has tremendous practical implications.

It means we can use our thoughts to create the life we want. It means we can really change for the better.

It means that things no longer have power over us, for we realize that they are just the manifestation of our thoughts, and nothing more. They are thought forms reacting to the signals we project.

The principle of Harmony and Rhythm is perhaps best expressed in the magic of music.

Music is a powerful influence in our daily lives. There are three basic ingredients of music: melody, harmony and rhythym. Melody and harmony are universal in nature.

The solar system maintains its order because of the vibrations of each individual planet. They comprise a chord of music which is unique to our place in space.

Rhythm belongs to the earth.

It is the method whereby a song is broken up into measures and notes are assigned different values of time. It is the rhythm or beat of a song which involuntarily sets your toe to tapping. It is the ingredient of time.

There is another ingredient of music which is absent in some music.

When it is present, it changes lives.

Even plants and animals respond to it. What is this fourth ingredient?

It is LOVE!

When music contains this element, it performs miracles! It sets into motion natural forces which begin a tumbler-like action, a turning of the tide in the lives of people.

Research into the science of sound, or vibration, helps us understand that creating music requires the interaction between the right and left brain.

In a very real sense, music transcends the mind and goes directly into the heart! It can be a powerful way to access the ability to feel for those who have endured so much pain that they have dissociated from life and become "past feeling."

While listening to music can penetrate even the hardest heart, the activity of creating music, expressing oneself through music, develops a person’s ability to organize creative thoughts and to express them effectively.

It doesn’t seem to matter whether that creation of music is in the form of humming a tune or in performing in a concert. Feeling will happen!

Researchers have studied Baroque music to discover why it is so powerful in assisting in learning.

The combinations of notes, and the patterns of music create order in the brain in much the same way a computer formats a diskette to implant a grid or map which will allow information to be stored in a location where the computer will know precisely where to go to retrieve it.

Why is order so important?

To create is to organize that which is unorganized. There is no judgment between order or chaos; both are necessary to the process of growth and creativity. To make use of the information we accumulate throughout our lives, we need to be able to retrieve it.

If there is no order, no system for storing and retrieving that information, it is much like a file cabinet with no separate folders – just piles of stuff. We know it’s in there, yet we aren’t able to find it.

People with Alzheimer’s disease are losing this grid pattern, this map for how to store and retrieve information. Remarkable results are being achieved with Alzheimer’s patients through the use of music technology.

An interesting phenomenon is occurring.

The elements of the earth, the minds and hearts of the people on the planet are beginning to polarize. There is a gathering of order, a gathering of those who follow the principles which created our universe.

There are multitudes of people making a choice for order. What is left is chaos; that which is in conflict with order.

Each person is responsible to make conscious choices about the level of vibrations which influence them.

When all our levels are in alignment (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual), we are in tune.

We will feel in alignment with the universe and the principle of harmony and rhythm. We will have once again aligned with the "one song."

Harmony, Harmonics and Opportunity

by Laura Walker -

THE ORACLE REPORT:

Harmony and harmonics are the stories today.  We are wise to be mindful of what kind of emotional/mental states we are emitting.

We will quickly meet in the world whatever we are feeling inside.  The principle of “like attracts like” is in full force, so what we put out is what we get back.

Talk of “harmonics” inevitably brings in the concept of “frequencies,” which often results in people “blanking out.”  So let’s keep notions of frequencies grounded with the basics: frequency means how often.
When you get down to it, having the often-touted  “high frequency” really means how much of the time one emits love.  It indicates how often we are in the harmonic heart-mind space of connection with All That Is.
Today, the power of all of this is amplified exponentially.

This means we have an opportunity.
On the individual level in our lives, this energy will bring us outstanding opportunities for messages about what is truly fulfilling and what makes us happier.  This information helps us to take on the mantle of our personal power – our sovereignty as free thinkers and creators.  It helps us stand up straighter.

It’s energy to realign, re-imprint and rectify.  It unites worlds.
Realigning, re-imprinting and rectifying energy is a daily practice.  Every day brings celestial mechanics from the planets and opportunities to strongly imprint the positive or negative currents.

Using awareness and wisdom, we are shifting the experience of life that has been heavily pressed toward the negative polarity over recent history.  We understand that wherever each of us leans on the spectrum determines how we collectively lean.
On the collective level of humanity today, the energy is ripe for reclaiming or making up ground.
The energy has us reassessing all sorts of things.

We want to make things more whole – to integrate or combine them to flow more easily.  We want it to all come together.  With this, people, places and things that are refined are highly attractive today.
As part of this, group or team efforts are heavily favored because this usually makes things better.  More eyes or minds or hearts on things gives an advantage.

This means we need to be ready to make our contribution or be ready when opportunity strikes!

Be bold.
Pay attention to what’s catching your fancy today.

We are getting glimpses and trying to grasp things that we don’t quite understand, but it all starts with what allures us.  Follow any impulses to read, investigate, or experience things.
It’s a great day for radiating harmony, so let’s get to work.

Doing the Best We Can

by Mike Robbins -
I’m sometimes amazed and embarrassed by how critical I can be – both of other people and of myself.

Even though I both teach and practice the power of appreciation (as well as acceptance, compassion, authenticity and more) when I find myself feeling scared, threatened or insecure (which happens more often than I’d like it to), I notice that I can be quite judgmental.

Sadly, as I’ve learned throughout my life, being critical and judgmental never works, feels good or leads me to what I truly want in my relationships and in my life.  Maybe you can you relate to this yourself?
I’ve recently been challenged by a few situations and relationships that have triggered an intense critical response – both towards myself and those involved.

As I’ve been noticing this, working through it and looking for alternative ways to respond, I’m reminded of something I heard Louise Hay say a number of years ago.  She said,
“It’s important to remember that people are always doing the best they can, including you.”
The power of this statement resonated with me deeply when I heard it and continues to have an impact on me to this day.

Although I sometimes forget this, when I do remember that we’re all doing the best we can given whatever tools and resources we have (and given the circumstances and situations we’re experiencing), it usually calms me down and creates a sense of compassion for the people I’m dealing with and for myself.
Unfortunately, too often we take things personally that aren’t, look for what’s wrong, and critically judge the people around us and ourselves, instead of bringing a sense of love, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness, and appreciation to the most important (and often most challenging) situations and relationships in our lives.
When we take a step back and remember that most of the time people aren’t “out to get us,” purposefully doing things to upset or annoy us, or consciously trying to make mistakes, disappoint us, or create difficulty (they’re simply doing the best they can and what they think makes the most sense) – we can save ourselves from unnecessary overreactions and stress.

When we’re able to have this same awareness and compassion in how we relate to ourselves, we can dramatically alter our lives and relationships in a positive way.
Things you can do and remember:
  • Give people the benefit of the doubt. Most of the time people have good intentions.  Many of us, myself included, have been trained to be cautious and suspicious of others, even seeing this as an important and effective skill in life and business.  However, we almost always get what we expect from people, so the more often we give people the benefit of the doubt, the more often they will prove us “right,” and the less often we will waste our precious time and energy on cynicism, suspicion, and judgment.
  • Don’t take things personally. One of my favorite sayings is, “You wouldn’t worry about what other people think about you so much, if you realized how little they actually did.”  The truth is that most people are focused on themselves much more than on us.  Too often in life we take things personally that have nothing to do with us.  This doesn’t mean we let people walk all over us or treat us in disrespectful or hurtful ways (it can be important for us to speak up and push back at times in life).  However, when we stop taking things so personally, we liberate ourselves from needless upset, defensiveness, and conflict.
  • Look for the good. Another way to say what I mentioned above about getting what we expect from other people is that we almost always find what we look for.  If you want to find some things about me that you don’t like, consider obnoxious, or get on your nerves – just look for them, I’m sure you’ll come up with some.  On the flip side, if you want to find some of my best qualities and things you appreciate about me, just look for those – they are there too.  As Werner Erhard said, “In every human being there is both garbage and gold, it’s up to us to choose what we pay attention to.” Looking for the good in others (as well as in life and in ourselves), is one of the best ways to find things to appreciate and be grateful for.
  • Seek first to understand. Often when we’re frustrated, annoyed, or in conflict with another person (or group of people), we don’t feel seen, heard, or understood.  As challenging and painful as this can be, one of the best things we can do is to shift our attention from trying to get other people to understand us (or being irritated that it seems like they don’t), is to seek to understand the other person (or people) involved in an authentic way. This can be difficult, especially when the situation or conflict is very personal and emotional to us. However, seeking to understand is one of the best ways for us to liberate ourselves from the grip of criticism and judgment, and often helps shift the dynamic of the entire thing. Being curious, understanding, and even empathetic of another person and their perspective or feelings doesn’t mean we agree with them, it simply allows us to get into their world and see where they’re coming from – which is essential to letting go of judgment, connecting with them, and ultimately resolving the conflict.
  • Be gentle with others (and especially with yourself). Being gentle is the opposite of being critical. When we’re gentle, we’re compassionate, kind, and loving. We may not like, agree with, or totally understand what someone has done (or why), but we can be gentle in how we respond and engage with them. Being gentle isn’t about condoning or appeasing anyone or anything, it’s about having a true sense of empathy and perspective. And, the most important place for us to bring a sense of gentleness is to ourselves. Many of us have a tendency to be hyper self-critical. Sadly, some of the harshest criticism we dole out in life is aimed right at us. Another great saying I love is, “We don’t see people as they are, we see them as we are.” As we alter how we relate to ourselves, our relationship to everyone else and to the world around us is altered in a fundamental way.
As the Dalai Lama so brilliantly says,
“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”
Everyone around us – our friends, co-workers, significant other, family members, children, service people, clients and even people we don’t know or care for – are doing the best they can, given the resources they have.

When we remember this and come from a truly compassionate perspective (with others and with ourselves), we’re able to tap into a deeper level of peace, appreciation and fulfillment.

The Body of Oneness

by Anakha Coman and James Twyman -

Your body is an expression of the living Oneness, a temple for the Divine presence. When you’re disconnected from yourself, you’re out of touch with your essence and nature; and you’re not resonating with the rest of the world. This disconnect keeps you from enjoying the many blessings and bliss of Oneness.

Today, take a moment to be still, becoming aware of your breath. Imagine that your body is like a stringed instrument that needs tuning. This adjustment will bring you into presence, putting you back in sync with the world.

Being fully present in yourself means being perpetually in tune, ready to vibrate with each moment as it unfolds. Neither rejecting nor preferring any sensation, emotion or experience, you embrace the Oneness of life. This practice reconnects you to your natural state of wholeness.

See yourself as a Soul with a body
rather than a body with a Soul.
--Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

“Our bodies know they belong; it is
our minds that make our lives so homeless.”
--John O’Donohue

“The body is a sacred garment.”
--Martha Graham

Exercise:
Begin by tuning into your body.
Pay attention to any sensations that may appear as tension, energy, deadness, numbness, aliveness, pleasure, or any other emotion.
Allow yourself to become present to your body, gently noticing your judgments, fears, distractions, and projections as they float to the surface. Return to your breath and acknowledge the truth that your body is a temple, an expression of the living Oneness.
Continue scanning your entire body.
Begin with your feet and move slowly toward your head, observing and feeling each sensation: tingling, tension, energy, temperature, softness, pulsing, and so forth.
Proceed slowly and examine each distinct part: your feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, pelvis, buttocks, belly, chest, back, shoulders, neck, and head. Give yourself time to complete this; it usually only takes ten minutes or so.
Assess your breathing.
Is it deep or shallow? Fast or slow? Simply allow it to be. Pay attention to how your body responds to your breath: the rise and fall of your chest and belly, the air moving through your nostrils and throat, and your lungs pressing gently into your back.
Become aware of your breath reaching all the way down to your feet. How does it feel there? In your hands? Your head?
Tune in to the subtleties of your body. Feel your heartbeat and relax into its simple, steady beat . . . the pulse of life that connects all things.
Now allow your body to rest in gentle awareness and loving compassion.
Tap into the vibration, thought and feeling of absolute love. You may first feel it in your toes, your eyes, or in your throat—wherever its origin, let it grow until it encompasses your entire being.
Experience absolute unconditional love.
Feel everything—your cells, glands, bones, blood, and nervous system—vibrate to the frequency of love. Make this your intention now.
Breathe love and compassion into your body temple. Allow it to move like a wave, cresting and falling. Feel the ecstasy of life and love flow through you. Bathe in this delight; feel the luminosity within you.
Pay attention to any area of your body that’s speaking to you.
It may be a part that feels tense or painful, or perhaps it feels warm and relaxed. Be fully present and listen for its wisdom and guidance, for your body holds a wealth of information and connects you with the deeper truths of Oneness.
In Oneness, all aspects of life are expressions of the Divine that inspire and guide you—your body is an example of this truth.
Play with this practice throughout the day, especially when you feel tired, out of sorts or disconnected. Within a few minutes of engaging in this, you can return to presence. Remember that your body can be used as an instrument of Oneness or of separation.

Today, choose to focus your body temple as an expression of the living Oneness. Let it guide you into a deep, meaningful resonance and relationship with the world.

Affirmations:
I AM fully alive and thriving in this moment, in tune with my body and the world.
I AM a Divine temple, an expression of the living Oneness.

The Rhythm of Oneness

by Anakha Coman and James Twyman -

Returning to your natural rhythm and moving with the pace of the universal heartbeat restores you to Oneness. Slowing down connects you with the rhythm of Life, with your essential self and with other people. Holding yourself in this way brings you into the very heart of Oneness.

There’s a close connection between the rhythm of Oneness and the rhythm of your footsteps, your breathing and your mind. Today, practice finding a pace that connects you with your breath, heart and mind . . . truly connecting with your natural rhythm and flow.

Notice when you feel your movements becoming forced and harried. Within that gentle awareness, take a moment to pause and return to your center.

Breathe and rest for a moment in the stillness.

Repeat the word ahimsa (meaning nonviolent actions) as a mantra throughout your day as you continue to return again and again to the rhythm of Oneness.

IMAGINE

Imagine this practice as a moving meditation, like tai chi or as a flowing dance, such as ballet. Allow one action to create and flow effortlessly into the next. Every breath, step and thought is connected.

As you engage in this practice, the frenetic pace of your thoughts will become slower and calm down and your breathing will become fuller and more relaxed.

You’ll experience the beauty, vitality and energy of life. You’ll feel connected to your own deep personal integrity and to the integrity of life that surrounds you. In this place, you’re moving within ahimsa—expressing compassion to yourself and others—and you’re in union with all things.

Paradoxically, when you slow your pace to your natural rhythm, your movements become more graceful, powerful and focused—thus, more is accomplished, created and received with less effort and energy.

For today, experiment with pace, rhythm and movement. Discover the Rhythm of Oneness for yourself and share it with others.

Affirmation:
I AM moving with the rhythm of my heart in harmony with the purpose of my Soul, vibrating with all of creation.

Quotes:
“Even in the middle of a hurricane, the bottom of the sea is calm. As the storm rages and the winds howl, the deep waters sway in gentle rhythm, a light movement of fish and plant life. Below there is no storm.” —Wayne Muller

“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.” —Thomas Merton

“Smile, breathe and go slowly.”

Fine-Tuning Your Vibrational Frequency

by DL Zeta -

During this transformational time, you are free to tap into high-vibrational energies now flooding the Earth plane.

In order to fully access these expansive potentials, set your intention to do so and step into the highest vibrational frequency you can access.

As you harmonize with elevated frequencies, you're able to manifest an abundance of love and blessings from the greatly expanded feeling states of your higher self.

Your feeling states and your "vibrational frequency" determine your level of abundance - not others and not circumstances in the world.

Those who believe the economy is responsible for challenges they are experiencing with prosperity are perceiving "in reverse," so to speak.

Every experience can be transformed when we shine the bright light of our higher knowing on it.

The ability to transform a challenge into an opportunity directly corresponds to one’s willingness to accept complete responsibility for every aspect of their reality.

You are always the source and cause of your experience of reality.

What you manifest directly correlates with the essence of your energy. Your feeling states are barometers for your thoughts, beliefs and spiritual understandings.

If you hold negative feelings toward anyone or anything, this pulls down your feeling state and your energetic resonance.

When we manifest from low-vibrational energies, we experience roadblocks, disappointments, illness, accidents, and overall feelings of being out of sync with the universe.

These experiences are not a "punishment" but wakeup calls to examine the beliefs, intentions, motivations, visions and identities we currently hold.

Every being is holographic to all-that-is. As a spark of infinity, we contain the entire energetic spectrum. Because we contain it all, we can choose to focus on any aspect along the spectrum of human potential.

In other words, we can choose to focus on any aspect of our being and energize it into our physical reality.

When we take 100% responsibility for all our experiences - when we accept the power and authority of our role as Divine and infinite beings - we open to receive all the joy, love and blessings the universe has to offer.
