20 Signs You Have Found Your Soul Mate

Finding a soul mate is #1 for many people.

Personally, I believe you have a lot of chances to do so. Your soul mate might not necessarily just be one person.

There’s a reincarnation based belief that I’ve always been fond of. That belief is that when you die, your soul shatters and breaks into pieces. Those pieces are randomly brought together with pieces of many other souls to form new souls and new people.

So when you meet someone that you so strongly click with or find that person who is so clearly your soul mate, you’re really finding pieces of your soul in them and they’re finding pieces of their soul in you. Neat huh?

No matter how it happens, these are 20 signs you’ve found your soul mate.

  • Your soul mate is endlessly loyal to you.

  • Your soul mate is always supportive of you.

  • Your soul mate has a similar guiding compass.

  • Your soul mate sparks an intense passion in you.

  • You can communicate comfortably with your soul mate.

  • Your soul mate makes you feel special.

  • Your soul mate transcends spiritual boundaries with you.

  • Your soul mate appreciates your affection.

  • Your soul mate thinks you’re just irresistible.

  • Your soul mate helps you feel safe.

  • You feel like you can completely trust your soul mate.

  • You don’t just experience their endless love, you feel it.

  • You’re spiritually connected more so to your soul mate than anyone else.

  • You can spend time sitting in silence but know what your soul mate is thinking.

  • Even in times of tragedy, you find strength in your soul mate.

  • Your soul mate turns to you with all their secrets, hopes and dreams.

  • Your soul mate has the same ideas about raising children as you.

  • Your soul mate always includes you in major and minor life decisions.

  • Your soul mate pushes you to be better and you return that favor.

  • As people, in terms of being happy and successful, you and your soul mate thrive together.

    Spring-Cleaning the Soul

    by Christine Sherborne -

Helen normally loved spring-cleaning, the fragrance of freshly laundered curtains, sparkling windows and gleaming floors. But today, with a heavy heart, she tipped out her dresser drawer and sorted. It wasn’t just her home in a mess, so was her life.

She slotted the last pristine dresser drawer back into its frame, then sat back on the bed. Helen sighed as her brother Roger came to mind. They hadn’t spoken for at least a year, since Thanksgiving and she missed him. She’d long forgotten the fight that caused the rift but their stubborn streaks prevailed.

Helen looked up at the room corners, cobwebs. The long-handled pink feather duster whisked them away. If only her life was fixed so easily. Tom, her husband, had grown distant and she realized why. She finished dusting and pulled out the vacuum cleaner. His voice echoed through the empty house. “Nag, nag, nag, can’t you give me a break? Be grateful for my strong qualities.” But it wasn’t so easy, she liked a tidy home. The rumpled cushions, the remote left in the kitchen, the list was endless.

She moved on to her daughter’s bedroom. As she opened the door, she gasped and almost shut it again. The girl was a slob, short and simple, and she saw no reason she should clean up after her. Melanie and she used to be close. She smiled as she pictured their shopping trips, and Sunday afternoons spent baking. How had this past year turned out so horribly? These days they barely talked, and she always wore those damned earplugs. The door slammed shut.

Exhausted, she sat in the kitchen with a mug of strong sweet coffee. The house gleamed, but the silence felt heavy. Life seemed happier when the kids were young, and she and Tom fooled around after the children’s bedtime. Her parents, now in their eighties, never seemed happy, would her marriage be like that? Her family life was headed downhill, she couldn’t deny it. A tear slipped down her cheek. Did she want to be right or be happy?

She rinsed her mug and left it on the draining-board, took a deep breath, made a decision and picked up her cleaning caddy. Marching up the stairs toward her daughter’s room she felt energy suffuse her body and her heart felt lighter. She would clean her daughter’s room, then ring her brother and apologize. Tom’s favorite dinner would be waiting for him when he arrived home. She smiled. She would find time to visit the mall and choose a decent bottle of wine. Life was good!

What needs spring-cleaning in your life?

Unresolved relationship issues drain your energy. Small acts of kindness toward your family members and friends oil the wheels of love. Are you often kind to strangers, while taking friends and family for granted? Isn’t that crazy? The people who love us and have our back, don’t receive the consideration that we give to strangers. Think about your actions today!

    The Soul of Oneness

by Anakha Coman and James Twyman -

At the center of the Soul of Oneness is unconditional love. It’s the lifeline that connects us—the blood that courses through our veins. It’s our most powerful, most abundant resource on the planet. And it’s the fabric of our existence . . . it’s who we are.

“The one thing in the world, of value is the active Soul.”
    —Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The Soul is made of love and must ever strive to return to love. Therefore, it can never find rest nor happiness in other things. It must lose itself in love.”
    —Mechthild of Magdeburg

“I am the self seated in the hearts of all beings.”
    —from The Bhagavad Gita

To experience the Soul of Oneness requires that you give the most precious gift you can offer others: your unconditional presence. When you embrace others with mindfulness and unabashed love, they bloom, thrive, and soar.

Begin your day by connecting to your own presence, the Soul of Oneness, through silence and prayer. Remember that you are not what you do, nor are you the various roles and activities that you may enact today. You’re a Soul living in this human experience.

Connect to your Soul with each breath.

Fill yourself with God’s profound love, allowing it to infuse your heart, your body, your mind and your awareness.

Know that in this present moment and in every moment, you’re connected to the Source of Oneness and are overflowing with compassion.

When you take time to become present with yourself, you’ll find that you naturally want to give the gift of your presence to others.

Practice being in this mind-set everywhere you go and with everyone you meet. Receive each person as a gift from God sent to you as a messenger and a reminder to be present.

    Extend your love to everyone.

Listen beyond and between the words. Hear the expression of and request for, love.

Today, your only purpose is to offer this most magnificent part of your own unguarded heart, your own unconditional presence. Treat each person you encounter as an extension of your Soul.

Remember that often what is most precious hides itself—the wild and tender things have retreated and will only reveal themselves to those who are fully present .

Watch the preciousness unfold before you as you pay attention to what has heart and meaning . . . moment to moment, person to person. This is the Soul of Oneness.

    Affirmation:
I AM powerfully present, tending to the Soul of Oneness and offering my unconditional love to every person I meet.

    The Emerging Soul of Humanity

    by William Meader -

WHEN LOOKING AT the current state of the world, it may seem that humanity is on a downward slope heading for disaster. Whether we consider the escalating crisis occurring in the Middle East, widespread famine in Africa or the destruction of the Brazilian rainforest, humanity seems to be at the precipice of global crisis.

How we move through this challenging period in history will, in large measure, determine the future for generations to come. We have entered into a stage of human evolution (as a species) where our fate will be determined, either in support of a promising future, or down the road to our eventual demise. Such is the fate of the times.

Yet, it must be remembered that crisis is a prelude to all expansions of consciousness.

This is true whether considering the consciousness of a human being, or that of humanity as a whole. At this time in history, the soul of humanity is emerging, and it does so through the challenge of world crisis.

To begin our discussion it must first be stated that, esoterically, humanity is considered a living entity in its own right. To some, this may be a strange idea. However, the singularity of humanity has been a notion held by many theologies and philosophies throughout history.

Yet, what do we really mean by this expression?

Usually it is in reference to the commonality of people lying beyond their racial and cultural differences. This is, of course, true. Whether considering people in primitive or advanced cultures, the commonness of being human is abundantly apparent. We all have the same basic needs and yearnings in life.

In itself, this realization can bring us closer. However, humanity’s oneness is far deeper than this.

Esoterically considered, humanity is viewed as a single life expression. It is not simply a collection of six billion human beings but is a being in and of itself. It too has a soul and a personality — a higher and lower consciousness.

As individuals, we are not separate from the beingness of humanity but are cells of livingness within it.

To walk the spiritual path is to transform the lower-self (personality) so that it becomes a cooperative servant on behalf of the higher-self (soul). As anyone treading the path well knows, the transformation of the personality can be a difficult task.

It requires that we face many shadowy issues residing within each of us. Tendencies such as greed, pride, fear and selfish motives are just a few of the many shadow elements that limit the soul from full expression in the outer world.

Sometimes called the Dweller on the Threshold, the shadow holds us back from manifesting our spiritual potential. Indeed, the spiritual journey is governed by the need to purify oneself so that the soul is no longer obstructed by any taints within the personality.

When this is fully achieved, enlightenment is a sure reward. The transformation of the Dweller on the Threshold is an inescapable requirement when individually walking the path.

This principle is likewise true when we consider the transformation of humanity’s consciousness. Humanity has a soul, and it also has a dweller residing within its personality.

As a species, these shadowy features (within our collective consciousness) hold us back from our deeper potential. Indeed, humanity’s Dweller on the Threshold represents the greatest obstacle to our collective survival.

At this time in history, humanity’s dweller is revealing itself in a variety of ways. One need only look at world events to witness its ugly head rising.

For example, it is evident in the behavior of various governments as they wield power in support of national interests, often at the expense of international betterment. We see it in the rise of fundamentalism and orthodoxy (religious and social), as it sounds its separative and elitist note.

Such are clear indications of humanity’s shadow, for the dweller is always governed by a separative stance. Humanity’s dweller is also seen in our relationship to the environment and our tendency to exploit it rather than preserve it. The dweller is shamelessly exposed within our economic policies, as well. This is indicated in our insatiable desire for economic expansion, while the wiser principle of sustainability is woefully overlooked.

These are just a few of the many examples of humanity’s Dweller on the Threshold. As we move further into the 21st century, these shadow elements are becoming increasingly visible to us. Ironically, this is the hope of the future, for the dweller can only be transformed when it is uncovered by the light of day.

As earlier stated, crisis is a precondition to spiritual transformation. This is true whether considering an individual striving to live according to his/her higher nature (soul), or humanity as it seeks to do the same.

Both face the challenge of transforming the separative tendencies of consciousness so as to bring more of its soulful wisdom into outer expression. Most of the time, the shadow is hidden from view. It lurks behind the scenes and achieves its selfish objectives without calling attention to itself.

However, as crisis nears, the dweller begins to rise and be seen — a fact that is becoming increasingly apparent today. More than ever, we see humanity’s shadow rising in human affairs and all countries and theologies contribute to its expression. We witness it in shortsighted governmental agendas, religious fanaticism and the growing gulf between the wealthy and the poor.

These are forces that promote separateness and all are manifestations of humanity’s shadowy dweller. Yet, as stressful as these things appear, they are not an indication that human civilization is coming to an end. Rather, they point to the fact that humanity has reached a door of transformational opportunity.

    Signpost for Change

To clearly see the shadow of humanity is evidence of our readiness to deal with it. In this regard, the shadow is a signpost pointing to the necessity of change and is therefore a welcome visitor.

The Soul of Humanity is poised to shine forth with greater radiance than at any time in history. As a living whole, humanity is on the brink of an opportunity to be radically transformed.

Simultaneous to the rise of our collective dweller, the Soul of Humanity is also emerging. This is evident in the many progressive and humanitarian initiatives that have appeared in the last few decades.

For example: there is more humanitarian aid directed to third-world countries than at any time in the past; within the world of economics there is a growing movement toward socially responsible business practices; and the ecumenical movement in religions cycles, as well as the emergence and gradual maturation of the United Nations, all point to the Soul of Humanity and its growing influence in global affairs.

There are many additional indicators, as well. As the Soul of Humanity continues to appear, we shall see the rise of social movements that support greater unity among nations, religions and cultures.

Indeed, our collective soul is slowly shaping human perception so that we increasingly recognize our fundamental oneness. It is from this realization that we must eventually base all of our actions — individually and collectively. This is the spiritual destiny of humanity.

The Dweller on the Threshold and the Soul of Humanity are appearing on the global stage at the same time. At first this may seem strange and unlikely. Yet, psychologically it is quite predictable. It is really no different than what occurs to an individual when s/he is faced with a spiritual crisis.

There are times when our higher potential (consciousness of the soul) is inwardly recognized. As this realization grows, we simultaneously become aware of various personality (ego) tendencies that seem to prevent this potential from its full expression.

In short, the more we see the light of the soul, the more we become aware of the shadow and its power to hold us back. Hence, greater light and greater darkness appear at the same time.

Indeed, the light of the soul is what causes the shadow to be known.

It may be asked, what can individuals do to lend support to the Soul of Humanity, as it seeks to transform its dweller?

There are actually several methods that can help. The most important is to live and work with a vision of unity and use this vision as a guide to all action.

Our collective soul is a force that unites.

When an individual supports the unity of culture, religion, business, education and the arts, s/he is acting on behalf of humanity’s higher nature — its soul. It is a unity that emerges, not through conformity but through the honoring of human diversity.

To support the Soul of Humanity requires that we live and express our own higher consciousness (individual soul) with greater love and wisdom.

In truth, the individual soul is merely a cell within the Soul of Humanity. And, to live according to one’s higher consciousness is to be in alignment with this greater soul.

In this discussion, we have seen that crisis is an inevitable prelude to evolutionary progress. Crisis indicates that the soul and the dweller are standing face-to-face and a choice must be made.

As our collective soul emerges, the hidden forces of opposition simultaneously rise in defiance. It is in the physics of consciousness that this must be so. The Soul of Humanity is seeking to infuse itself into the human condition.

Its radiation has the power to create greater unity among nations, cultures and religions, as well as our relationship to the natural environment.

In truth, the challenge we face is a crisis of perception

It is a choice between perceiving the future with a commitment to greater unity and understanding or to fall back on the perceptual models of the past with their emphasis on separative achievement at the expense of the larger whole.

As of now, our decision to live according to the Soul of Humanity has not yet been made. Nonetheless, the larger trend of evolution suggests that eventually we shall. It is only a question of time. The crisis we see in the world is a blessing in disguise.

We are seeing humanity’s dweller more clearly than ever before, and it is from this vision that right choice can be made. The Dweller on the Threshold is the gatekeeper to the spiritual realm. It stands at the threshold to greater light and love.

As a species, it is we who must find the key that will transform the dweller. By so doing, humanity will pass beyond it and enter into the dawn of a golden age. This is the promise of the future, though it must clearly be earned.

    Channeling Healing Energy

    by Toni Silvano -

Past traumas, emotional hurts and physical dis-ease can lead to the fragmentation of the spirit.

Every time we experience pain, whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual our energy field becomes disrupted. We lose a piece of our soul with each hurt.

Left untreated, these lost fragments of our soul exist outside of our being, thus our spirit is fragmented. We are not whole although we may appear whole to those we encounter along the way.

    Jeffrey Conley / Getty Images

When we meet someone for the first time, we usually cannot see their flaws. These flaws or fragmented spirits become apparent over time as the relationship continues. Flaws are not bad, we all have them.

I feel that anyone over the age of five has had some kind of hurt in their lives. It is a huge part of the human experience and nothing to be ashamed of.

These fragments exist in our energy, or auric fields. New Age hands-on healing can help bring these pieces of the spirit back into the being. The concept is a simple one:

If this energy field is healthy and free of fragments, the living person will exhibit good health in all its physical, emotional and spiritual aspects. Harmony will be a part of this person's life.

However, oftentimes dysfunctional energy patterns are present in the energy field. Believe me, this occurs more often than not!

    Universal Life Energy

Everything that exists is permeated by a Universal energy that connects and nourishes all of life.

This energy has been called by many different names, such as chi and prana.

This is the energy that integrally supports the life process in all its aspects, the material operations of the physical self, the functions and emotions of the mind, and our spiritual selves.

The energy in this field is not lifeless or inert, rather it is active and intelligent. It can be considered a manifestation of the Universal consciousness that is the source of each of us and the entire universe.

This is the energy that connects us to each other, the realm of pure consciousness, the spiritual source of life made manifest in the physical realm.

One way to view this energy is to see it as a bridge between the realm of pure spirit and the manifested material world.

When the flow of energy in the energy or auric field becomes blocked or fragmented, it prevents the living person from achieving harmony and the pure connection to a higher spiritual reality, which in turn prevents the full and healthy expression of the living potential.

    Energy Field Healing

Energy field healing is the art of correcting defects in the energy field.

This entails primarily dealing with the core issues that enabled the fragmentation in the first place.

In energy field healing the healer seeks to restore the flow of energy to its original strong, healthy and natural state by correcting and calling back the fragmented parts of the spirit. In other words, clearing the aura and making it whole.

By healing the energy field, the healer is ultimately healing the dis-ease which has manifested in the physical, emotional, or spiritual body. Even if dis-ease is not present, energy field healing will enhance overall health.

The ability to channel healing energy exists in each and every one of us because it comes from God, the All There Is.

There are many forms of hands-on energy healing being taught throughout the world today. Usually this is passed on through attunements from master to student. We as healers, are simply channels for the healing energy of God.

The Heart of the New Paradigm

    by David Karchere -

In the developed countries of the world, we live in a world paradigm that is so clearly unsustainable. I am not trying to persuade you of this. So if you believe that the current world paradigm is functional, please don’t take this as an attempt to persuade you otherwise.

I am writing simply to consciously acknowledge what great numbers of people already know—that the current world paradigm is fatally flawed. This doesn’t mean that there is no hope for humanity; only that our future lies beyond the current paradigm.

I don’t want to dwell on the evidence but I think it helps to become conscious of it. And I don’t want the facts that I am addressing to be a mystery.

    They include the following:
    • In the United States, where I live, according to the Gallup Poll, 82% of Americans disapprove of the Congress. Many have come to believe that large financial interests, which are largely out of touch with the interests of the populace, control the United States government.
    • 44% of Americans report that they are struggling in their life and 4% percent report that they are suffering.
    • Global warming is changing weather around the world, and scientists are now more than 90% certain that it is caused by humanly created greenhouse gases. It is becoming clear that we are past the point of no return relative to severe impacts, such as the rise in the level of the oceans.
    • We are so dependent on fossil fuel that we are taking extreme measures, like fracking, to extract petroleum products from the earth, endangering the ecosystem.
    • In the United States, and elsewhere, we continue to create money and incur debt that is out of proportion with our real wealth, creating global financial instability.
    • Worldwide, the richest 85 people hold more wealth than the poorest 50% of the global population.
How would you describe what is at the root of the world paradigm that is creating these results? It seems to me that it is important to see the issue clearly, both as it relates to the world at large and as it relates to our own life.

Here is what I understand it to be.

The current paradigm in the developed countries of the world, which increasingly dominates the whole world, is a mechanical model of existence. It is a worldview that diminishes and disregards the sentient Being within both people and Nature.

Because the world is seen as stuff and not as a living Being, the goal becomes to manipulate that stuff to be most pleasing to the manipulator, without seeing that the Beingness of all people, all of Nature and the planet as a whole, is seeking to thrive all together.

It is a worldview that sees Creation as a big machine with a vacuous center—no soul.

The current mechanical paradigm has the individual distrusting themselves; distrusting their own thinking, their own heart, and their own soul.

It is a soul-numbing model in which the individual is highly subject to the manipulation of others.

There are many factors that have contributed over millennia to the current paradigm. Human history is complex, and it can be difficult to see the larger pattern that has defined the current human reality.

What I see is that human institutions have convinced people to lose faith in the truth that lies within their own soul.

Religion has given the message that we are sinners, we are unenlightened, unevolved and unworthy. And the majority of people are all too ready to be convinced.

Logic tells me that spiritually empowered people who think for themselves are not subject to devious political, religious and financial leaders the way the mass of humanity is.

There are so many positive things happening around the world with visionary people who have a new vision of humanity, of technology and of our place in the universe.

At the core of that new paradigm is the awakened soul; the soul that has recovered from the numbness that is present in the current paradigm because it is warmed by the reality of Universal Love.

In the new paradigm, the awakened soul is honored for its place in this world and for its place in humanity, and not shunned as being sinful and shameful.

It’s the soul redeemed, not by religion or any religious figure, but redeemed by the very reality of Love that’s present in the soul, connecting the soul to all of Being.

I am not talking just about some isolated soul, separate and alone. I’m talking about the soul that’s connected with all souls and with all of Being.

That connection brings the redemption that allows us to live powerfully and meaningfully and truthfully as human beings.

Are you ready to see the gravity of the problem that humanity finds itself in?

It’s hard to look at and yet unavoidable. At the same time, there is the magnitude of the solution that is available. That solution is available to us if we seek it. If we truly seek it we find it and make it available to the world in which we live.

My own soul is committed to the solution to these things. My life is committed to never giving in to the old paradigm—in myself or in the world around me. We all walk through the paradigm as it is. Let’s admit that it’s impossible not to. We live in the world as it is.

Virtually all people in the developed world use electricity that comes from the humanly created grid. We use fossil fuel for our transportation and heating. We swim in the ocean of human consciousness as it is.

As William Stafford says in his poem, “It is important that awake people be awake,” because we are swimming in an old paradigm. And yet, in swimming in that paradigm, you and I have the opportunity not to give in to it.

We can understand that the human manufactured world is created out of a natural reality that transcends it. After all, that is where all fossil fuel and all chemicals come from. Our own Being is sourced from a reality that transcends the humanly created world.

In never giving in to the old paradigm, we can give ourselves to the new paradigm that acknowledges the underlying reality of our Being.

At the heart of that new paradigm is the connection of our own soul to all of Being.

To fully enter the new paradigm, a person has to seek it. The kind of seeking I am talking about is primarily of the heart.

The heart has a natural attunement with the new paradigm. So if we set it free to pursue its natural connection with Being, then our soul follows.

Our thinking reflects our seeking, and we begin to find that for which we are looking. When we do, it is up to us to do something about it. We have to reciprocate when we find the reality of what we are seeking.

I want to speak personally about this, because these things get personal for you and for me. In the middle of my own seeking, I found people who knew the new paradigm. What they shared with me was meat for my hungry soul. By now, I have come to know what they taught me for myself. But that came later. Initially, the new paradigm was introduced to me by another person who was having that experience.

The people I met were having a real experience of God.

How they named that experience wasn’t important.

In fact, I don’t really remember much of what they said. The answer they provided for my hungry heart was credible to me because the God that was being presented to me was not the God of religion. It wasn’t God the Impossible, the God of sinners.

It was God the Possible, the God of the Universe, the God of Gods, and therefore the one God for all people.

The reality of Being was presented to me in a credible way. I found that, as I embraced the reality that they had introduced to me, I was not following a God that enslaved or put down or shamed or limited. I was following the God that held all potential for my life and for life on this planet.

Having touched the reality that I sought with all my heart, I could not help but follow it. I could not help but reciprocate. And the ultimate reciprocation is to pay it forward. As the great Master Teacher said, Do thou likewise.

This is the creative action that is at the heart of the new paradigm.

There are teachings that come out of that new paradigm; there is technology and the basis for new social and political systems.

The new paradigm sets our genius free.

Without people who let their hearts lead them to a discovery of the reality of their own Being, it has no soul. And if it has no soul it has no life and no hope and no answer for this world that so desperately needs one.

So in my life I’ve done my best to reciprocate. It’s quite a path to be on. It’s a path of learning and transformation and change. It’s a path of becoming. To reciprocate is to become.

If, seeing the numbness of your own soul, you also touch the beauty and the warmth of the reality of Being, does not every ounce of your integrity call you to change?

To become that reality that you’ve touched in your life, so that you can credibly bring that reality into the world and make it stick?

Certainly there have been people down through the ages who have promised all kinds of wonderful spiritual things.

I believe what’s left to do is simply to be a person, and then a constellation of people around the world who so reciprocate with that reality, who so respond, that they become that reality in their living, they bring it credibly into their world, and they make it stick without shadow of turning.

I have the privilege of passing on the same opportunity that came to me. I do so without thinking that the opportunity is all about those who introduced it to me, or all about me sharing it with you.

The opportunity to let your soul be warmed from its numbness by Universal Love and lit up by the truth of Being is about simply that—the opportunity itself.

And now, what will you do…? If you are embracing this opportunity with me and many others, I say, this world needs us.

I understand that, according to the old paradigm, what I am speaking of means almost nothing.

According to that paradigm, what happens in the human heart and soul is, at best, simply a measure of our ability to endure that paradigm. I say that it is the cornerstone of a new world.

The world we are here to create—and the worlds we destroy—rely on that cornerstone, and they suffer from the lack of it.

    Let’s create a new world.

    Whispers from the Soul

    by Kirsten Harrell  -

You are driving home from work and you suddenly get the urge to go a different route. You follow the urge only later to hear on the radio that there was a major accident on your usual route. You think to yourself, “what good luck!”

You wake up in the morning and remember that you dreamed that a family member was ill. You call the person and find out that she is not well. You think, “what a coincidence!”

Was it really luck or a coincidence? Or is there something more going on? Absolutely…it was your intuition at work!

The dictionary definition of intuition is an immediate insight or understanding without conscious reasoning. Intuition or hunches are the whispers from your soul, offering you guidance and direction. Intuition is a powerful source of information, creativity and inspiration.

When you follow your intuitive voice life flows more easily, things seem to fall into place, and you will experience less stress.

Inventors, business people, law enforcement officers, healers and many others use their intuition regularly to make decisions and to achieve success. Intuition can help you make decisions at work and in your personal life - especially when you don't have time to gather all the pertinent information.

It can help you avert difficulties and tune into potential problems on a project. Your intuitive voice can help you with simple choices (like which route to take home) and big decisions (like which job to take).

Everyone has intuitive potential - men and women. It is a natural talent that everyone possesses.

It is not something special limited to only a few gifted individuals. As a child, you freely accessed your intuition. Unfortunately, over time you likely received negative feedback from your peers, teachers, or family. You likely began to doubt your intuitive voice and shut down this channel of information.

    Developing Your Intuition

The good news is that with a little patience and practice you can strengthen and hone your intuition to create a valuable guidance system.

The first and most important thing that you can do to develop your intuition is to acknowledge and honor the intuitive messages that you are currently getting.

Your intuitive voice is still there, you just need to tune into it. Start paying attention to and trusting those little hunches or gut feelings that you have. If you did nothing more than start honoring your intuitive impulses, you would find a dramatic improvement in your intuitive abilities.

Intuitive messages can come as a sudden "knowing," gut feelings, thoughts, images, emotions, or bodily sensations.

It is important to pay attention to the way your intuitive messages generally show up for you. Think back to what it felt like when you got the sudden urge to take a different route home (or some other intuitive event). What did that feel like? Was it a feeling? A thought? An image? It is important to pay attention to the details of an event like this, because it will help you understand the way you receive intuitive messages.

Once you know what your intuition feels like, it makes it easier to discern between intuition and other messages like fear or wishful thinking.

In addition, you can begin some specific exercises and practices to further enhance your intuitive abilities.

    EXERCISES & PRACTICES

    Clearing your mind:

It is easier to hear the whispers from the soul when your mind is quiet and open. Much of the time your mind is wandering and "going a mile a minute." You likely have lots of thoughts running through your mind at any given moment. You probably spend much of your day multi-tasking.

All of this "noise" makes it difficult to hear your intuitive voice. It is important to find some ways to quiet your mind. You can't shut off your thoughts completely, but you can learn to slow them down. Let all the distracting thoughts flow out of your mind. Let them go. Picture your thoughts floating away on a cloud.

Focus on your breathing and allow your mind and body to relax more with each breath. You might even try counting down from 10 to 1 and allow yourself to relax more with each count. Once your mind is clearer, you can then access your intuition.

    Meditation:

There are many forms of meditation and all are excellent ways to get centered and quiet the mind. Even a few minutes of meditation daily can increase your ability to hear your intuitive voice. Meditation is like priming the pump.

As you get used to being in a meditative state, you will find that it is easier to hear the whispers from your soul and to distinguish these messages from other mental chatter. If you are new to meditation you might try sitting quietly and focusing your attention on a candle flame. When your awareness drifts (and it will), simply bring your attention gently back to the flame.

You can also try focusing your attention on a short phrase or word (mantra) that you repeat over and over to yourself. Remember that the key is to gently bring your mind back to your focus point. Getting frustrated will only interfere with the process.

    Imagery:

You can use imagery to help you access intuitive answers to your questions. Imagine yourself in a quiet place in nature, surrounded by beauty and wonder. Make this image as vivid as possible by using all of your senses.

Spend a few moments simply enjoying this place in your mind’s eye. Then, imagine a treasure chest nearby. You feel excited as you approach the chest because you know that the answer to your question is inside. Take a deep breath and imagine yourself opening the treasure chest. Don't try to control this, let your intuitive mind guide you.

Trust that whatever is inside the chest is your answer. You might receive a very clear answer or you might get a symbol that doesn't make logical sense to you. Either way, it is exactly what you need. Trust that if the answer is not clear right away, it will become clear over time.

Over the next few days, be open to feelings, songs, conversations, or any synchronistic events. Be patient! If you become frustrated or try to force an answer, you will block the flow of intuition.

    Dreams:

While you are sleeping and your conscious mind is at rest, your soul has the opportunity to bring intuitive information to you through your dreams.

When you are working on a problem and looking for your intuitive guidance, take some time before you fall asleep to ask for an answer to come to you through your dreams. Be sure to keep a journal by your bed so that you can record your dreams the moment you wake up.

Your answers may come symbolically and may need some interpretation..... Look for the emotions and themes of your dreams and see if this sheds light on your problem. If the answer still is not clear, be patient and remain open. You may find more clarity with time.

    Affirmations:

You can use affirmations to focus your mind. It is best to use affirmations with some form of relaxation (such as deep breathing) in order to get the combined effects of a relaxed body and focused or centered mind. Affirmations are a terrific way to tap into the power of your subconscious mind to help you reach your conscious desires.

Affirmations should be concise sentences stated in a positive way. When creating an affirmation remember to state what it is that you want, not what you don’t want. Another important guideline is to always use the present tense when creating your affirmations.

The following are a few examples of affirmations to increase your intuitive abilities.

    • I trust my intuition.
    • My intuitive voice is consistently accurate.
    • I access my intuition easily.
    Practice:

It is important to practice using your intuition. When you first start practicing you may want to begin with small issues that do not have a significant impact on your life. For example, try to guess who is calling before you pick up your phone.

Guess which elevator will show up first when you are standing in front of a bank of elevators. Practicing with these simple issues will allow you to stay relaxed and focused without too much distraction from fear or other mental chatter.

As you practice, you will get better at recognizing your intuitive impulses and you will gain confidence in using this skill. The more confident you feel about identifying your intuitive voice, the more you will trust it and be able to act on it.

As you practice using your intuition and build your skill, you will find that your intuitive voice is a precious resource – an indispensable gift.

You can use this inner wisdom to guide you in all of your decisions at work, at home and at play.

The more you use and trust your intuition, the stronger it will get and the more confident you will feel about it. The whispers from your soul will always guide you to the path that is for your highest good.

    The Soul Print

    by Scott Mcintire -

    Sitting in peaceful places

    Upon Nature's natural faces

Silent sounds of the River's rushing

The Wind with the Trees harmoniously brushing

Quiet Clouds above calmly passing by

A Sea of blue and white that pleases the Eye

Mountains in the distance sit still in yellow light

The Sun ahead constantly coloring every sight

Never again will we ever be here

At this very moment let us not fear

For this is where the mind is content

This is where the Soul leaves its print

    Understanding Emotions as Soul Messages

    by Ann Albers -

Allow yourselves to feel everything deeply for it is through your feelings that you touch upon your soul's greatest truths.

Your emotions are simply messages from the soul - honor them for their wisdom, then allow them to move through you as you move through life.

So many of you try to avoid your darker feelings and yet, they too point to your soul's truth.
    • Beneath every angry feeling is a passionate desire to create more.
    • Beneath every sadness and disappointment is a longing for sweetness.
    • Beneath every jealousy there is a desire to know you are worthy of what you envy.
    • Beneath every frustration is a soul's desire to seek out a deeper and truer path.
Your darker spaces contain great light. Dig deep inside yourself and find it.

Within feelings of helplessness are the seeds of surrender. Within feelings of desolation you seek out your own very great light. Within feelings of loneliness, you search for God.

When you are feeling your darker spaces, dig deep within and find the light of your own soul - these are the areas of deep growth.

When you find yourself in the throes of bliss, gratitude, love, passionate expression and deep joy by all means celebrate!

Do not dim your light. These are the truths that your soul wishes to share with the world.

Allow yourselves to feel and feel deeply.

Do not let fear damn up the flow of grace that courses through you in these moments.

Celebrate the good feelings and allow yourself to move through life unattached as to whether or not they will be here in the next moment, for the minute you introduce this fear of losing your joys, you are no longer in joy. Simply enjoy your joys dear ones, and share them.

Joy is the native state of the soul.

Do not be afraid of your own hearts for within them you find the truth that God wishes to express in the world.

Own who you are and how you feel in any given moment. If you are feeling the darker spaces, dig deep to find the light seeking to be expressed.

If you are in the light-filled spaces, let yourself shine. Go deeper always into your own hearts.

You can always find greater love and a greater desire to both give and receive this love.

You are all so beautiful to us.

Do not talk yourselves out of being who you are, feeling what you feel and expressing the very great desire for the love that your souls wish to share with and receive from the world. We love you so very much.

    Intellect and Soul

    Lotus

    by Julie Redstone -

Many people who have been closed are now opening to a deeper sense of life and of themselves. The rational left brain is pondering its own experience and the limitations of that experience and beginning to reach for something else.

Often, what slows down this process and makes it more laborious is the way in which the intellect has been used to protect the self from feeling or knowing certain deeper levels of awareness.

This protection has worked well in many cases, since with a well-honed intellect one can operate very successfully in the world - at least outwardly.

And yet the intellect is not the soul.

Beneath the rational mind and the outer success is the awareness that something else is missing. Eventually, over time, a reaching for that something else takes place.

Help toward making the shift toward greater feeling, intuition, inspiration and softness in general can be had by making efforts in the direction of acknowledging whatever fear may be present toward doing so.

Sometimes, the intellect has done such a good job disguising this fear that it is invisible to the conscious self.

Nevertheless, the turning of the soul toward a deeper level of truth will produce the beginning changes that need to happen to open up a different level of awareness.

The principle of "ask and it shall be given" is true here, for those who desire to know the truth of their deeper nature will find it.

    Messages from Your Soul

    -

Have you ever sat with the fluid complexity of your thoughts and feelings, witnessing each one and accepting each one as it arises, and then watching it as it dissolves into the next moment and the next?

Have you ever acknowledged what your mind and your heart are expressing in this moment and inquired into what they might be saying to you?

This is the simple practice I would like to recommend to you, as a way of coming home to yourself in order to step boldly out into life in new authentic, joyful and creative ways.

Many of us move through our lives navigated by a series of unconscious thought and feeling belief patterns. These belief patterns often keep us stuck in a repetition of old behaviors that do not serve us any more.

We hold these thoughts and feelings in our bodies, minds and spirits and live them out unquestioningly and unconsciously as if they were our ‘truth’.

They are actually very often ‘truths’ that have been passed down to us by our parents and other significant adults in our lives, and the rules and norms of our culture, as well as our own childlike attempts to interpret our experiences as we were growing up.

An example of one of my own unconscious belief patterns that I’ve become conscious of recently in the form of a thought is this: relationships always eventually end, and I have no control over their ending.

There is a kind of resigned sadness associated with this thought. I can see that this unconscious belief may be the result of spending my childhood moving from place to place. And so, as an adult, I have been through a series of monogamous relationships, have very few friends left from my childhood, and have often found the best friends I’ve made as an adult have been people who eventually move away.

There is a temporal element to my relationships that might not be there had I not interpreted my experiences in such a way as a child.

How do we move beyond the unconscious belief patterns that limit us and into the freedom of authentic, joyful, creative living?

We do so by sitting and listening to the voices within us that speak these ‘truths’, hearing them, witnessing them, and accepting them as they arise and then letting them go as they dissolve into the next moment.

In doing so, we become conscious of the belief patterns we carry, and our consciousness gives us the capacity to choose other thoughts and feelings that are more in tune with the here and now.

Each belief pattern that emerges is actually a message from your soul speaking its truth in profound ways when given the space to be heard

I have no control over the ending of relationships becomes a deep cry for the security of continuity and commitment in relationship, a desire for roots, for community, for belonging, as well as a need for me to become a more active force in my world – so that my will and my power are more present in the relationships I form – rather than simply allowing the flow of events to take over and guide my relational life.

As I become conscious of what it is my soul longs for, I am freed up from the compulsion to act out of my own sense of ‘lack’ and given the grace to begin to change each pattern as it arises.

As I sit with myself, and hear the messages my soul brings me, my compassion grows and I can forgive myself every mistake in this journey of life.

As I become more conscious of the patterns impressed upon my being from early childhood, I am freed up to risk choosing new ways of living out my ‘truths’.

As I come home to myself in the space I give to hearing what my soul might be trying to say, I am empowered to act creatively and live more joyfully and authentically.

As I begin to recognize my own unconscious drives and desires, I am inspired to look with greater compassion upon those I come into contact with.

As I listen to the messages of my soul, I experience integration and in time become more whole.
