Transcendence of the Ordinary

by Keith Varnum -

“How’d they do that?”

I asked myself time and time again in my youth. As a journalist and documentary filmmaker, I witnessed ordinary people performing extraordinary feats on countless occasions.

I documented individuals in moments of crisis and emergency going beyond the limits they and society believed possible.

Caught up in earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and accidents, I watched mild-mannered people become super-heroes.

When extreme circumstances demand action, paranormal abilities arise from normal folks.
  • Women lift two-ton trucks and hold them aloft until their child or husband is freed from beneath the vehicle.
  • Young boys perform successful medical procedures as if they were trained professionals.
  • Men lead victims to safety through burning buildings, pitch-black forests and raging floods.
  • Teenagers bend steel and rip open closed elevator doors to liberate loved ones.
  • Scared people jump ten feet over a chasm to safety.
  • Given a death sentence by doctors, people heal themselves spontaneously.

“Where do human beings get the power and knowledge to perform such implausible feats?” I wondered.

I observed that when life offers people a choice between their beliefs in what is possible and the necessity to save another from harm, people often scrap their perceived limitations and choose to do whatever needs to be done.

Every day people choose life, caring and rescue over the restrictions of their belief systems.

“If we can break out of our belief box when life has us up against the wall, why can’t we release our limiting beliefs at will when we are not in a crisis?” I inquired within myself.

I looked around in my world for examples of people who know how to free themselves from tribal collective limitations—mainstream cultural beliefs—in order to access fresh possibilities of human potential. I discovered my models through reading biographies of dynamic individuals and interviewing adventurous people.

I found that people who are forerunners, pioneers and explorers in social, political and artistic expression invariably refer to one or more moments in their lives in which they opened to a peak experience.

And not only do these resourceful people make reference to these extraordinary moments, they draw strength, wisdom and compassion from these glimpses of their true power. They have learned how to tap into these past moments of heightened awareness and achievement in order to surmount present life challenges.

Whether it be excellence in athletic or artistic expression, or success in business or romance, these potent moments of “transcendence of the ordinary” act as wells of inspiration and inventiveness that enable people to handle current predicaments.

With a degree of benevolent innocence, I decided that if these people could break free of their restrictive belief systems and tap into the power of previous peak experiences, then I could as well.

Their successes inspired me to try this approach myself—to reach beyond my perceived boundaries.

Every day now I invite magic into my life and welcome miracles into my world. It is my heartfelt wish that you too are inspired to go beyond your own self-created limits.

What do we have to lose—except our fears and imaginary walls?

How to Cultivate Miracles

by Keith Varnum -

I’ve been blessed with a life adventure full of miracles. When people read about the magic in my life, they often ask me, “Why have you had these fascinating extraordinary experiences—and not me?”

I suggest to them that a more accurate way for them to ask that question might be, “Why do you recall all these extra-ordinary events—and not me?”

I’ve been a life coach and acupuncturist for over thirty years. In order to help people uncover the root causes of their problems, I had to delve deeply into the underlying facts beneath the surface of their lives.

I had to reveal some truth behind the superficial stories we tell ourselves. I had to discover the real scoop hidden by our socially acceptable explanations of how life works.

Surprise Findings

In this detective process, I found out that just as many extra-ordinary events occur in most people’s lives as occur in mine! So, then, how come most folks aren’t aware of the extra-ordinary in their lives? Good question!

One reason many people don’t feel their lives are filled with exceptional events is because they don’t notice the uncommon events when they occur! They literally don’t see what is going on right in front of their eyes.

Why not? Another great question.
  • They don’t see the magic because they aren’t looking in the right place.
  • They don’t see the magic because they aren’t looking in the right way.
  • They don’t see the magic because they aren’t looking for magic!

What are they doing?
  • They’re looking for what they expect to see.
  • They’re looking for what they’re conditioned to see.
  • They’re looking for what they’re told is there!

Dullsville, PA

I’ve come to realize that I happened to grow up in an environment that nurtured my ability to see beyond the borders of the believable.

Firstly, the small, remote Pennsylvania mountain town I grew up in had to be one of the most boring places on Earth! Nothing ever happened out of the ordinary there.

In this nondescript village there were no fights, no drugs, no crime, no minorities, no crises—not even divorce or betrayal (that anyone talked about). No fuss, no muss—just white picket fences and 4th of July parades and apple pie.

The only thing that ever changed in my hometown were the four seasons. And they were often almost the same—cloudy or rainy.

The Rest of the Story

Of course, there was the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey would say. The foundation of this typical small town America did have its cracks beneath the veneer of public harmony.

These deviations from the American Dream were never mentioned. Not between town folk. Not between drinking buddies. Not at the bridge table. Not on the golf course. Not at home. And not even to oneself!

Thus, on the surface of it all, all was well. … And extremely mind-numbing to a young kid!

So, just to entertain myself, just to pass the time on days just like every other day, I began to look for anything in my life, in my town, that was out of the ordinary—outside of the obvious, predictable everyday occurrences.

Guess What?

What you look for, shows up. What you look for, you see.

I desperately wanted to see something different or new. I longed for anything unusual or strange.

I sent my attention out searching for any element of life that was out of order, sync or sequence with the everyday humdrum routine.

And, sure enough, I found it! Everywhere I looked. … In my life. In other people’s lives. In school. On the street.

Everywhere I looked with the intention to see more than what’s expected, I saw more of what didn’t fit my expectations.

When I looked outside the box, I saw life outside the box. And when I got outside my own limited paradigm, I could appreciate the view from other people’s paradigms.

I witnessed teenage friends—and myself—being “miraculously” saved from disastrous car accidents. I saw people (angels) pop out of nowhere to save townfolk in a desperate situations.

I watched time contract (or expand) to fit the prayers of those in need. I observed synchronicities that guided me to the best course of action.

Mealtime Mystery

A second eye-opener in my youth occurred at every meal. My father was a lawyer and my mother a court reporter.

Our family discussions at the kitchen table always centered on their legal court cases. Court cases by their very nature are centered around disputes, disagreements—differences of perception.

I was constantly being presented with a particularly curious and startling phenomenon. Three witnesses to a car accident: three different stories of what has occurred. Four people involved in dispute: four equally possible versions of the “facts.”

I learned that the truth is in the eye of the beholder.

Or rather, the truths are in the eyes of the beholders!

The Prison of the Prism

I became aware of the prison of the prism through which we each view our world. The perceptual filters of our known paradigm literally create what we can see—and what we can’t see!

The Undoing of My Upbringing

These two unusual aspects of my upbringing had a profound influence on how I experienced everyday life.

I began to see the cracks in the façade of the social matrix.

And I found a way to use these cracks in the social fabric to break on through to the other side. To view another world of options and alternatives.

To enter a wider range of possibilities and adventures. I could see not only what was happening in other people’s worlds but also what could happen in the world of infinite possibility (miracles).

How ‘Bout You?

What experiences or circumstances in your background have opened the door for you to expand your vision of what is possible in life?

Showtime

Would you like to recall the forgotten magic that has occurred in your life?

Would you like more everyday miracles in your life today?

My suggestion?
  • Make a conscious decision to welcome the uncommon.
  • Invite the unexplainable.
  • Be open for the new and different.
  • Treasure the strange and weird.

Celebrate surprise... and you will be surprised… by a whole new world of wonder and amazement.

How Life is Rigged in Your Favor

by Keith Varnum -

The cards are stacked in your favor. The cards are stacked for your abundance. The cards are stacked for your health. The cards are stacked for your joy.

The very nature of the universe is grace. Your natural state is one of joy, love and peace.

All you have to do is let go into that natural state. When you let go, all your life will be re-arranged in alignment with that harmony and balance.

The basic structure of the universe is unity and cooperation. The Universal Matrix is set up for harmony—for us all to win, for everyone to win. It’s a win-win-win affair.

There’s Nothing You Need to Do

There’s nothing you need to do but let go into the naturally harmonious, giving universe.
  • You don’t have to do any practices perfectly, or even right.
  • You don’t have to eat the right foods or do an hour of yoga daily.
  • You don’t have to worry about choosing the best spiritual technique or approach.
  • There’s no right or wrong way to do life.
  • All roads lead to Home. You can’t do it wrong.
Let Go of the Maintenance Project

All you have to do is to let go of the maintenance project—all the things you think you have to do to get it right—all the things you think you have to hold it all together.

But you don’t have to hold it all together. You don’t have to make sure it doesn’t all fall apart.

The universe will hold itself together—in a self-regulating dance of change and harmony.

Let Go of the Need to Be a Good Person

You can let go of the need to be a good person.

You’re already a good person. You’ve always been a good person. You’ll always be a good person. There is no original sin. No inherent badness or evil to overcome. We are whole and complete and perfect just as we are.

You Don’t Have to Become Worthy

You don’t have to create being worthy. You are worthy. You’ve always been worthy. You’re ok just the way you are. You’ve always been ok the way you are.

The world is ok the way it is. The world’s always been ok the way it is.

You Don’t Have to Believe

You don’t have to believe any of this. Or think that it’s true. Let go and find out. Just let go and find out for yourself.

Let go of doing everything that you think you have to do. Let go of doing everything that you feel you should do. See what happens!

Discover for yourself the true nature of life.

Let go and find out!

A Recipe for Alchemy

by Keith Varnum -

Grandma has a scrumptious, old-family recipe for chocolate pecan pie that melts in your mouth. Uncle Bert whips up a killer BBQ sauce for ribs (or grilled tofu).

I’ve discovered a more direct route to happiness—a tantalizing recipe for alchemy!

According to Webster’s dictionary, alchemy is not simply change, but rather “permanent transformation.” Alchemy is a metamorphosis—a lasting, complete change in form. Transmutation.

Alchemy is like the caterpillar after it comes out of the cocoon, having morphed into a butterfly. If that butterfly doesn’t eat the “right" foods, or meditate every morning, it doesn’t boomerang back into a caterpillar! It’s a butterfly for good. Thank God!

So, when we manage to open to true alchemy in our lives, we are forever transformed.

We’ve broken through to the other side via a one-way portal. The gains we make will last. The progress we’ve achieved will not reverse itself.

What’s Going on Here?

For thirty years with my friends, clients and myself, I’ve witnessed permanent alchemical transformation. Dramatic healings of long-standing physical ailments. Deep emotional and karmic releases. Breakthroughs with money and love. Spiritual awakenings.

I always ask myself, "Why do some people heal, open or wake up after only one special experience—and for others it takes 20 to 30 such experiences? And for some people 'it' never 'takes' at all!"

The Secret Ingredients

My recipe for alchemy is simple. Mix in equal proportions the following 5 qualities:
  • Safety
  • Eternity
  • Reality
  • Honesty
  • Ecstasy
You can add these ingredients to your life in any order because they all spawn, feed and reinforce each other.

1. A Cup of Safety

What I’ve observed is that people shift toward health, harmony and wholeness when they know that they are safe. When people feel secure, they relax in mind and body. They release their minds’ “death grip” on having to monitor and control each and every aspect of their lives in order to survive.

They no longer have to be right about everything and have all the answers. They feel secure enough to allow some fresh solutions or options to enter the picture. Thus, they can let in a fresh approach or angle that can shift them into a new and better place.

When a person feels safe and relaxes the grip on the body, the body is free to shift, rearrange and adjust—and thus, it balances, harmonizes and heals itself. Even traditional medical doctors admit that the body knows how to heal itself—if we allow it to!

Get to know yourself psychologically. Pay attention to how you respond to different elements in life. In what environments, situations and relationships is it safe for you to relax, let go and open up? Seek and cultivate those spaces and people.

2. A Dash of Eternity

People feel secure when they experience themselves as being connected—part of—something eternal. When people allow themselves to love, or be loved, they open to the experience of someone, or something, outside themselves, larger than themselves. They feel timeless, serene, at one with all life.

The aborigines of Australia greet each other daily with the salutation, “The forever part of me greets the forever part of you.”

Walk on a beach at sunset, sit on a mountaintop or let yourself fall in love with someone or something. If you allow yourself to be deeply touched by any aspect of life, that life will bestow upon you a glimpse of eternity.

3. A Good Dose of Reality

When people feel they are in touch with something authentic and genuine, their world feels solid and real. When people feel grounded, anchored and centered within their body and world, they feel safe and loved.

When life feels safe enough to relax into, people feel connected to the Oneness and have a sense of being eternally taken care of.

Seek friends with whom you feel safe enough to be real.

Find physical activities through which you can get grounded and anchored in a solid, tangible ways to the Earth, to your body and to life. Garden. Hike. Dance. Paint. Sculpt. Massage somebody. Pet a dog or plant. Hug a rock or tree. Do tai chi or yoga. Play a sport. Construct something with wood.

4. An Ounce of Honesty

People are in touch with what accurately and authentically exists in their world when they are honest about how they feel emotionally. This is a major reason why people like the reality shows that are so popular on TV right now. The show participants are entangled in real life situations, presented in fairly authentic ways, within familiar, relatable everyday situations.

Place yourself in situations and with people where it’s easy and possible for you to feel deeply and honestly. Find at least one person with whom you can be genuine and spontaneous—and from whom you feel safe to hear frank feedback.

Also, seeing the practical value of honesty makes the “truth” more attractive and exciting. When you’re honest with yourself about what truly is, and isn’t, working in your life, then you’re dealing with what is really so in your life—instead of what you hope, wish, think or believe is so.

When you’re working with the truth, the changes you make are beneficial and lasting. You master practical alchemy.

The more you realize that you can manifest solid, permanent, desirable results in your world, the more secure you feel. And when you successfully use your innate power to manifest your soul’s desires, you get in touch with your true nature, which is eternal. To the same end, when you explore your world truthfully, you discover that you are, in reality, eternally safe and loved.

And breaking through into honest enjoyment of your true Eternal Self is an ecstatic experience. You feel real joy, bliss, orgasmic exhilaration. You’re “in heaven.”

5. Ecstasy Pie

The word "ecstasy" comes from the Greek meaning of "ec" (moving out of) and "stasis" (status quo, static, fixed, stagnant). Alchemy is moving out of an old, fixed, stuck place into a new, flowing world.

As the Doors’ Jim Morrison reminds us, when you "break on through to the other side" of any stuck condition or limitation, you enjoy the freedom to experience life in fresh, different and exciting ways.

Break on through to Alchemy

Ecstasy is a fun and easily attainable state—since it is, after all, our natural state of being.

Give it a chance. Relax that grip on your old picture of yourself and what you think is possible. That’s all it takes to activate alchemical magic in your life!

7 Secrets to Finding Joy

by Keith Varnum -

To pursue happiness is an inalienable right. To experience happiness is not. No one owes you happiness. No one can ensure your happiness. Happiness is a choice—your choice.

The key to experiencing happiness is to put joy on your life agenda along with completing tasks and goals.

Joy is a direct result of intention.

Your intention determines how you experience each moment of your day, each aspect of your world.

As you go through your daily activities, ask yourself, “What’s my intention?” A clear, strong intention for happiness helps you stay focused on fun and joy.
Here are a few actions you can take to make joy part of your Earth journey.

SECRETS TO FINDING JOY

1. Get outside yourself

Take the focus off yourself and commit to being a Contributor rather than a Survivor. This may seem like odd advice, but consider how attractive “needy” feels. Ask others how you can support them and they will naturally want to support you. Life is a cosmic boomerang—you get back what you send out.

Conduct a regular inner dialogue with your higher self. Say to your higher self, “I know you are here. I want to get to know you and pay attention to you. Please speak to me and guide my life.”

Don’t worry if this dialogue is entirely one-way at first. You may have been out of touch for a while. It takes time to clear the cobwebs.

Persist with this inner dialogue as if you are talking to a friend—chatting, asking questions, sharing your hopes and dreams. Sweep away mental chatter of the dead past and the uncertain future. Listen for answers. They will come.

As you begin to view life as a cosmic drama in which you are playing a very public starring role, the role of the higher self will become increasingly evident in your life.

2. Be a beacon of light

Get out of your comfort zone. Become a beacon of lightheartedness. You’ll be closer to your soul’s perspective.

Become a bright sparkling source of energy and let it reflect in all that you do. Let your spirit define who you are rather than the outside world. Turn up the volume on what you do best.

Set an upbeat pace at home and at work. Do a little more than you have to. Give a little more than is expected. Consider it an experiment and watch how others respond to you. Then see how you feel at the end of the week. If you find joy unbearable, you can always go back to being grumpy.

3. Create space for yourself

Spend some quiet time with yourself every day. It’s very important to have a place or time just for yourself. Give everything in your environment a personal touch. Create a room or private corner that fills you with joy and feels like home.

If noise and activity constantly bombard your life, you are drowning out your inner guidance. Just sit quietly with no expectations. Do nothing. This may feel very uncomfortable and strange in the beginning. Persist.

Give time and space for the inner voice to make itself heard. It will do so either during that quiet time, or through signs and messages during the events of your life. A synchronistic happening will occur. Someone will tell you exactly what you need to hear. You will get a sudden flash of insight.

Meditate. Breathe. Become a quiet, clear, pure vessel for the higher self to fill. Listen to yourself and trust what you hear. Let go of other people’s voices in your head.

4. Learn from your lows

Discover lessons to make your life better. Find value in trauma. Develop your resilience—your ability to bounce back from mishaps.

Taking a closer, more intuitive look at your tumbles can help you find a gift even in a hardship. Contented people transform problems into opportunities and trauma into something meaningful and constructive.

Ask,
“What good might result from this? How did I contribute to creating this? Is it making me stronger, wiser, more compassionate? What can I learn from this so that I can do better next time?”
Understand that failure is often a precursor to success—often in ways we can’t predict. Let your life adventures teach you.

Many people get caught in what—or who—is right or wrong instead of looking at the deeper understanding that can be gleaned from the incident. Use life’s roller coaster to change and thrive.

5. Celebrate the success of others

Celebrating the success of others takes you one step closer to being able to appreciate your own successes— rather than hiding from achievement or fearing failure. Invest attention and energy in the people you love and care about. Meaningful relationships are developed and sustained by positive attitude and action.

Make people a priority. Prioritizing relationships is a more certain path to bliss than chasing after wealth, status or power—even if you’ve got a good chance of acquiring them.

6. Cultivate beauty

Find a place where you can experience all of the sacred Four Elements: Earth, Air, Water and Fire (sun). Reset your energetic rhythms by tuning into Nature.

Allow all Four Elements to create a symphony of sensation around you, replenish your vitality, and help you return to the flow. Visit the ocean, a forest stream, or a park with a lake or a manmade fountain.

Take in some art. Art has an energy all its own. And don’t just observe the beauty, but rather immerse yourself in a work of art. The colors and shapes will awaken your senses and inner spirit.

7. Take your dream up a notch every day

Widen your worldview. Stretch your horizons. We’re brought up with a largely materialistic worldview that neglects the role of Spirit in our lives.

To establish close contact with spiritual realms, we need to have our entire being—conscious and unconscious—congruent with our soul blueprint.

Seek out writings and teachers that expand your understanding of the universe as being fundamentally the playground of consciousness and Spirit.

10 Tips to Make Life More Fun

by Keith Varnum -

Contrary to the opinion of many parents, it’s OK to want to have fun in everything you do in life. It’s not selfish, insensitive or self-centered.

Wanting life to be fun is natural, normal and healthy.

Every aspect of life goes better with fun. Fun can lubricate even the most tedious chore. And fun can infuse even the most serious of situations with the lightness of love.

May I suggest a few actions to keep your day light.

10 TIPS TO MAKE LIFE MORE FUN

1. Practice random acts of connection.

Really. It works. Wave to a firefighter. Smile at a cop. Salute a soldier. Hang with a kid. Have a friendly conversation with the cashier. Leave an outrageously generous tip. Drop in a shelter. Volunteer at a literacy program. Show up at a community fund-raising event.

Serve others. When you give, you feel more connected to other people.

And if you’re not naturally motivated to reach out to others, think selfishly: any altruistic gesture—from buying someone a coffee to letting another driver in front of you—puts you on the fast track to feeling good.

2. Make at least one just-for-fun phone call a day.

Water your field of dreams—your energy field!

Call a friend who is consistently fun to talk to. Just for the heaven of it! … not for business or to have any other need met. Simply ring someone up for a sociable hello without any agenda or expectation.

3. Look upon life as a Mystery School.

Welcome serendipity. Invite surprise. Cultivate spontaneity. Notice synchronicity.

Know that the whole of your life—events, situations and people—has been secretly structured by your soul in order to bring you the experiences you want to have this lifetime.

Approach life as if the whole of creation is conspiring to bring you goodness …because it is! Realize that unpleasant people and situations are deliberately placed in your path as a challenge to help you grow big enough to embrace even them.

4. Have an exciting destination.

Seek wonder.

Go toward joy, ease and adventure—not simply away from boredom, pain, struggle and fear. Don’t dwell on the old. Focus on your destination—move towards a fun future.

5. Rejoice each step of the way.

To keep from being overwhelmed—yet still make headway—break your larger goals down into more manageable steps. It’s easy to become discouraged if each step looms large and requires a major expenditure of time.

Take at least one action a day—no matter how minor. Then you can make some progress only if you have a few minutes. It may be something as little as gathering or setting out the materials for the next stage.

As you take small steps, check them off as achieved. Give yourself a pat on the back for your progress. Always focus on the advancement you’ve made as being just as important as the distance you have yet to go.

6. Strive for success—not for perfection.

Give up perfectionism! Perfectionism goes hand in hand with fear of success and failure. We feel in order to succeed we must be perfect. As perfectionists, we insure that we will never be satisfied with who we are.

Giving up perfectionism means seeing the good in our lives rather than the faults, focusing on what is working rather than what is not working.

Celebrate success in one aspect of your life each day. Look for the positive.

Ask, ”What did I do that was on the mark? Which parts of my day went well? What am I happy about?” This approach and attitude helps take the sting out of the aspects of your life that seem lacking.

7. Take a daily mini-vacation.

Take 15 minutes each day to do . . . nothing!

Nothing of any significance whatsoever. We need time each day to not race against the clock or be productive. As we slow down, our spirit is free to be restored and creative.

Go on a walk. Listen to music. Sit on the couch. Dance, run, jog, skip or stretch. Write, paint or sketch. Pet an animal or plant. Listen to the wind. Take yourself on a date. Do something that is alive and energizing for you.

The point is to relax. No multi-tasking. Don’t live in your daily planner.

And take a break from technology for a while. Turn off your phone, fax and pager. Our modern conveniences have made us more accessible and vulnerable to other’s agendas and demands.

8. Just say “No.”

Consider everything you habitually say “Yes” to each day. Community involvement. Errands for family. Favors for friends. Daily calls. Regular visits.

Take time to consult with your spirit. Ask,

  • “Is this activity at this time, in this way, really serving me?
  • Is this the wisest use of my time and energy for all concerned in the long run?
  • Is this activity giving me more energy than it is ultimately taking?
If the answer to these questions is “No,” then your answer to the activity should be “No.”

In saying “No” to the people and events that aren’t intuitively right for you, you are actually saying “Yes” to yourself—and to the people and values that mean the most to you.

If you allow yourself to be tied up with disharmonious, non-aligned situations, you can’t be available to share your true gifts with your family, friends and the world at large.

9. Give yourself a place lift.

Do you long for more expanse, efficiency, easy flow and elbow room in your life? By intuitively re-arranging the elements of your daily life, you can create the space to nurture the fun, freedom, opportunities and effectiveness you desire.

By clearing out the old, dead elements of your life, you create a natural vacuum and an unblocked channel for fresh, new energy and ideas to come into your private and professional life.

10. Share your life experience.

Keep in mind that not everyone knows what you know. Your personal experiences can be valuable to others. You might be surprised by what some people don’t know about life! I always am.

We thrive when we feel we are valued and have left the world a better place at the end of each day. Leave a grand legacy.

Happiness comes from sharing happiness. There are few joys that are as complete as bringing joy to another human being.Joy defies the laws of economics in that it’s not something that we have less of when we give it away. Joy is something that grows greater for the giver as it is given.

The more you give, the more you have.

What the Heck Is the Matrix?

by Keith Varnum -
The question alone invites intrigue and wonder. There are no barriers to the expression of this energy and there are no limitations for it. The limitations are in your own mind and with practice you transcend these limitations.

The Matrix goes by many names.

The Morphogenic Unified Field. The space-time continuum. The Wave. Oneness. Grace. Home.
Some scientific. Some mystical. All magical!
Why?

Because the mere mention of the word opens doorways! Doorways that can’t be easily shut once cracked ajar. Not because you aren't able to re-seal the portal. You just don't want to.
Once someone's glimpsed the City of Light, you can't get 'em back to the farm! The game is too exciting. The adventure too electric. The journey too enticing.

The Matrix is the master blueprint of the Universe.

The energetic infrastructure of the world we live in.
Our human structures aren’t built with wood and nails. Our physical world is created with energy and beliefs. Condensed energy is the basic construction material. Our beliefs nail this energy in place. The result is the Matrix.

Find a way to enter the Matrix and you can re-construct your world!

Why would you want to do that?
Well, your daily existence may not be all that you want it to be. You might want more abundance, ease, health or joy in some aspect of your life.

How do you enter the Matrix to change your world?

This is the main purpose of all scientific and spiritual endeavor. This is the focus of every complex experiment and ancient ritual.

Cracking the entry code of the construction of the Universe is the goal of all modern technology and of all sacred tradition.

Eureka!

The scientist has found a break-in point via quantum physics! The mystic has discovered an entrance via deep meditation! And guess what, Dorothy? We aren’t in Kansas anymore!
These two vastly different approaches to the same goal bump into each other in the "middle distance." Strangers in the night. Lovers in the Light. What a surprise. Dare I say shock!
In fact, only recently have the two exploratory missions begun to recognize their similarities—in method and in result.

Time to Lift the Veil

We haven't recognized the common elements between the scientific and the spiritual methods because of the core secret nature of the Matrix itself.
The Matrix is veiled! Concealed. Hidden behind centuries of dusty and rusty beliefs!
A Matrix explorer has to see through the misleading surface appearance of the way the Matrix shows up in the explorer's world!
Once you can sense the true inner nature of life beneath the outer forms, you see the commonality of every effort to penetrate the Matrix.
You feel the unity of all approaches to understanding life. You realize the oneness of all attempts to find human happiness, health and harmony.
And you see that not only is everyone actually using the same fishing line, they’re catching the same fish! No matter how different the surface appearance of the catch.
You see all parties crossing the same finish line. No matter how distant the location in space.
You see that they all value the same bottom line. No matter how divergent their expression of success.
You see Einstein and the Elders eating the same bagel. A round symbol of the movement of all life. A representation of the essential nature of the Matrix. - A spiral of free-flowing energy!
Our intention to have a bagel focuses free-flowing life energy into condensed physical matter with the label "bagel."

The Key to Unlock Miracles

The key to merging with the Matrix is becoming fluid enough to flow into the Matrix energy field. Once there, your experience is transformed into whatever your current harmony is.
You can become this flexible and malleable by many means, modern and ancient. Your inner guidance or intuition, can lead you to the perfect portal for you!

A new very fast, sure and permanent way to enter the Matrix is via an approach called the "Matrix Energetics." process. (the way energy works in the Matrix) If you’d like to know more about this gateway, click here.

How to Unlock Your Source Code

by Keith Varnum -

Your Source Code is the way you manifest your intentions from Creation Consciousness when you do, in fact, successfully manifest your dreams in life.

Each person’s Source Code is unique.

There are similarities between different people’s Source Codes but the secret to success is to discover the key characteristics of your own individual Source Code.

These characteristics of your Source Code show up in the energetic patterns behind-the-scenes of your everyday life. You see, by definition and function, the Source Code is a coded device—hidden within the fabric of your everyday existence.

As with any code, it needs to be deciphered to be consciously used. You have to identify the key elements of the Code in order to work creatively with the power of your Code.

It’s helpful to realize that your Source Code is a “hidden code” only because of the way most of us are raised in our Western culture. We were taught to only observe the surface appearance of objects, people and the events of life.

We weren’t guided in the art of seeing the energy patterns within each object, person and event. We weren’t shown how to perceive the vibrational nature of all seemingly solid forms of life.

Crack Your Code

There are many ways to uncover your Source Code. You could say that the ultimate purpose of all meditative and spiritual practices is to help you crack your Source Code.

The objective of all good spiritual mentors is to help you to identify the unique way that you create.

Where to Look

If you know where to look for your Source Code, you’ll find it. If you don’t know where to look for it, you’ll miss it altogether.

The place to look is at the level of the energetic patterns behind-the-scenes of everyday surface events. That’s where the real action is. That’s where conscious creation actually occurs.

When you learn to perceive the background vibrational grid of superficial life events, you unlock the secret of how you can successfully attract your dreams.

Your Source Code is woven within the tapestry of your life story. It’s buried beneath the surface events of your everyday life.

What to Look for

Your Source Code will reveal itself to you in forms that you can recognize and understand. Your soul will make every effort to communicate your Code in whatever manner it can.

Your Creation Code may show up through an idea, symbol, image, feeling, color, memory, persona, vision, dream or archetypal shape. You might all of a sudden just know how you create!

For example, in a meditative state on a workshop, I opened my eyes after a deep inner journey to see out the window brilliant shafts of sunlight illuminating only the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges in San Francisco Bay. Everything else was shrouded in dark fog.

That image—and the energetic feeling that went with it—awoke within me a clear knowing of my life path, purpose, passion and the next steps I needed to take to allow my soul plan to unfold. All this information was encoded in that image. Years later I still draw specific guidance from the knowing state triggered by that image.

How to Look

If you know how to look for your Source Code, you’ll find it. If you don’t know how to look for it, you’ll miss it altogether. The way to look is on the experiential level.

Your Source Code has to be felt by the energy field of the sacred heart. The sacred heart is the essence of your true being, your soul, your real self, your Higher Self.

In order to discern the energetic patterns behind-the-scenes of everyday surface events, you have to be experiencing yourself as an energetic pattern or being. The secrets of your vibrational Source Code will only be revealed to you when you are experientially merged with your Source Code,

The secrets of your vibrational Source Code will only be revealed to you when you are authentically experiencing yourself as a vibration! In order to consciously know your Source Code you have to consciously become your Source Code—if only for an eternal second of time.

When you fully merge with your Source Code, you download the key energetic patterns of the Code. The blueprint of your Code then becomes integrated within your personal vibration. You are then able to naturally utilize your own unique creative genius to create the life you prefer.

An Experiential Revelation

A good spiritual teacher or practice will guide you to learning where and how to look for your unique Source Code.

This is by necessity an experiential process. Because the Source Code is an energetic pattern existing beyond the confines of time and space, it cannot be comprehended fully by the logical mind, which is limited to time and space. As people say, “I can’t wrap my mind around it!”

The essence of your Source Code is energetic—therefore, experiential.

For example, you can’t explain to a child how to stay balanced riding a bike or skiing down a hill. You can give the youngster some pointers. But it’s in the experience of riding the bike or skiing down the hill that the child absorbs how to ride a bike or ski.

Likewise, it’s in the experience of discovering the unique aspects of your Source Code that you absorb how to successfully manifest your dreams.

Play Is the Way

A great way to get to know your Source Code is to enter into the world of play. Approach your divine quest with a sense of lighthearted adventure. Then you can embody your Unique Creative Style well enough to use it consciously to attract what you want.

This is why native, tribal, indigenous cultures use joyous song and dance to weave a new web of new outcomes in their lives.

This is why ancient spiritual traditions use uplifting music and movement to mold a new model of living. Imagine yourself skiing down a steep slope in a serious state of mind! How would it go?

The Game

With a heartfelt smile, a Zen teacher of mine once told our group of new candidates eager to become his students,
“You go into the ocean, you study with me. You no go into the ocean, you no study with me.”
Chuckling with delight, he plunged into the frigid, winter waters of the Pacific Ocean. The invitation was so outrageous, I spontaneously laughed with shock and amusement.

I threw all caution to the wind and dove in. To my surprise, the water wasn’t even cold! It was the best life choice I ever made.

The Invitation

The way to unlock your Source Code is not hard. In fact, it’s very easy. The Universe is simply saying to us:
“You play, you find the way. You no play, you no find the way.”

12 Ways to Come Alive!

by Keith Varnum -

What’s the purpose of life?

What an age-old, persistent question of humankind. Why is the answer so elusive for so many people? Because we allow our mind to complicate the issue. The mind will always complicate any issue. That’s its job. That’s its nature. That’s its joy!

The mind has to complicate every aspect of life that it can. So that it can separate life into parts. So that it can do what it loves to do—analyze, contrast, compare, categorize and judge!

If we allow our mind to complicate every activity of our lives, we’ll keep looking to our mind to figure it all out. And we never will figure it all out. So, we’ll always keep thinking and struggling—seeking and not finding!

As Lester Levenson, one of my dear teachers enjoyed saying,
“The mind will never assist you to free yourself from the mind!”
So, the answer is to not consult the mind. Rather, consult the heart.
“The heart has its reasons that reason does not know.” (Blaise Pascal 1623-1662)
So, then, what is the purpose of life?

The heart has a simple answer. The purpose of life is to experience. Simply to experience. Experience what? Life. Simply life. Explore. Enjoy. Embrace. Embody. Life.

I offer a menu of 12 simple ways to come alive. … To fulfill your deepest inner passion to fully experience life!

12 WAYS TO COME ALIVE

1. Find a Secret Special Place

Find a place that is easily accessible so that you can go there often. And a space where most people wouldn’t look for you to be, so you can have some good quality alone time.

It might be a park, the roof of a parking structure, under a bridge by a river, an unused room at work, a friend’s apartment or cabin, or a secluded part of your own house or yard. Choose a space where you can be solely (souly) with yourself.

Spend some quiet time with yourself every day. It’s very important to have a place or time just for yourself. To re-connect. To relax. To collapse. To relapse. To freelance. To feel free. To be free.

As we claim our own time and space, our spirit is free to be restored and creative. Turn off your cell phone and pager. If we allow it, today’s technology can render us too accessible and vulnerable to other people’s agendas and demands. If noise and social pressure constantly bombard your space, you’re drowning out your inner guidance.

In your special place just sit quietly with no expectations.

Become a quiet, clear, pure vessel for the higher self to fill. Listen to yourself and trust what you hear.

2. Immerse Yourself in Color

Every color is a unique aspect of the full spectrum of light (life). Immerse yourself in whatever colors call to you each day to allow each different frequency of Life Force to shift your energy--and expand your experience of life’s banquet.

Touch a bright flower. Draw with vibrant crayons. Paint with subtle watercolors. Wear brilliant clothes. Dissolve into sunsets. Stand in the end of a real rainbow and let the array of frequencies dance through your being.

3. Connect with a Wild Animal

Embark on a Walkabout (ala an Australian aborigine). Anywhere outdoors. In a city park. Along a waterfront. In an empty lot. At the edge of town. In a woods or meadow.

Welcome a face-to-face encounter with a wild animal. Small or big. Furry or smooth. An insect in the grass or a fish in the pond. A bug on a tree or a mole poking its head out of the ground. Invite a butterfly to land on your hand. Feed a seagull. Pet a lizard. Talk to a snake. Go into trance with a bird.

4. Overcome a Fear

When you feel adventurous and strong, deliberately do something you are terrified to do.

A true leader is a person who makes friends with fear. Choose to feel the e-motion of fear as e (energy in) motion. Allow the intense sensation to flow over and through you as you wade through the feeling as you would bubbling water.

Breathe deeply into the tightness in your body—and invite your muscles to release their tension. Allow the anxiety to exit through your exhale.

Start with a small fear and work up to more convincing “terrors.” End the tyranny of the fears and dreads that limit your options and aliveness. Love a fear a day. Keep the shrink away!

5. Take Mini Vision Quests Often

“Your mission, should you choose to accept it” is to simply have fun. Whether it’s 2 minutes, 2 hours or 2 days, quest for a vision of carefree joy. Devote bits—or bundles—of your free time to ventures that enrich your pure enjoyment of life. Pursue activities that make you feel fantastic and vibrant.

Take a stretch break. A bagel break. Take five for fun. Take a breather for your body. Take it easy for your heart. Take yourself on a date. Take a drive in the country. Go on a trek around the block, to Starbucks, or to your favorite store. Do something, anything, that is alive and energizing for you.

Shift your space. Move your body as much and as often as you can all day. Active, physical movement will center, balance, ground and revitalize you.

The more you participate in life, the more life—in the form of love, money and health—will flow through you. Hike, jog, skip, swim, garden, cook, sing, skydive, quilt or paint. Let your body dance you. Play music that speaks to your soul.

Start every day with activities that are the most exciting to you, not the tasks you think you should get done. Focus on keeping and building your momentum as you flow through your day. You’ll have plenty of energy and time to accomplish all necessary chores.

6. Choose Innocence (Freedom)

Choose in-no-sense. Choose non-sense. Light some in-sense so you can enter into non-sense. Choose to be innocent—free—of preconception, prejudice, expectation. Adopt a beginner’s mind. Be a blank slate. “Become ye as a child and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Be open to unexpected sources of income, resources and support. Invite surprise. Welcome serendipity. Travel light—and journey in the land of delight.

Play on the ground like a baby. Fly a kite, roll in the grass, or build a fort like a kid. Laugh with delight for no reason like a child. Dance all night like a teenager. Sit on a mountaintop like an old sage.

7. Reach across Barriers

Be a “Doctor without Borders.” Your own doc. Treat yourself and others to the wide open spaces of acceptance and play. See people, not categories.

Be colorblind and non-denominational. Play with whatever form of human being shows up in your day: Women and men. Straight and undecided. Kids and adults. Large and small. Rich and not-so-rich.

Find somebody on the opposite end of a belief spectrum from you and begin a genuine conversation. Seek to understand, not to convert. Find common ground, not battleground.

8. Make Friends with Birth and Death

Say “Yes!” to the transitions of life. Our Western culture does not prepare us to deal gracefully with the natural passages of life: birth, puberty, coming-of-age, leaving home, menopause, 7-year-itch, divorce, bankruptcy or death. Embrace the inherent changes that we all go through as human beings.

Attend with awe as many births as you can: human, kitties, puppies, lambs, horses, eggs-a-hatching! Also the birth of a new day (sunrise), a new business, a new product, a new idea!

Embrace the end of as many cycles as you can: the “death” of a friend, a pet, a leaf. Also, the end of the day (sunset), a business, a familiar service, an old belief!

When we realize that all of life is one continual transition from one form to another, then each particular passage becomes easier to accept and even enjoy as the wondrous spiritual adventure that it is.

9. Go Natural

Be outside naked for no reason at all—in public on a clothing-optional (nude) beach, skinny dipping at the local swimming hole or in the privacy of your own backyard or hot tub. Feeling the wind gently caress your whole body is invigorating—and liberating.

To enjoy this natural benefit, there are now a growing number of naked races, hiking clubs, picnics, dances, meditations and gatherings all over the world. Our clothes are the costume we feel we have to present to the world at all times. Being naked allows us to feel our natural worthiness and completeness just as we are!

10. Travel without Money

Just as our clothes can over-define—and confine—us, so can our bank account! Make a personal pilgrimage of liberation.

Take a trip somewhere, anywhere, without any cash, checks, cards or other means of credit. And to a place where you don’t know anyone you can borrow money from. This personal freedom trek can be on foot, car or public transit. It can be for a mile or 1,000 miles, it can be for an hour, a day, or a year.

Every time we venture out into the world without our trappings—and protections (armor)—of civilization, we gain in courage, strength, self-reliance, and trust. Trust in yourself—and the Universe—to provide.

Every time we act out this trust in the world, we increase our ability to attract and create Universal Support and Supply. There are people who have gone around the world with no money whatsoever. What freedom!

11. Practice Random Acts of Connection

Really.

12. Cross a Body of Water

Water is archetypal. Crossing over or through a body of water is one of the most mystical—and profound—acts a person can pursue. Crossing over is a symbolic journey of growth and power. It’s a metaphorical act of birth, transition, new beginnings.

The form and scope of the water element don’t matter. Hop a puddle. Ford a stream. Wander through fog. Bridge a river. Swim a channel. Sail an ocean. Notice how expanded and enlivened you feel on the other side.

Boost Your Aliveness

You can either live your life regretting all the roads left unexplored or you can start living the life you really want now. Shift from thinking of yourself as a victim to realizing you can be the source, cause, creator of whatever happens to you in life!
