Core Heart Feelings

by Pam Montgomery -

There are many "core heart feelings," but the simplest and easiest to access is one of gratitude or appreciation. Showing appreciation elicits an immediate response in your body that lessens the stress response, causes entrainment with the brain, and affects the electromagnetic.. field around you with ordered coherence. It is easy to come into coherence while in a state of gratitude, because your heart responds immediately to any appreciation you can elicit even if it is not about the situation at hand. This causes your nervous system to naturally come into balance, lessens the burden of stress, and frees up energy to be available for creative outlet. Gratitude is a highly magnetic state and when one is in the state of gratitude, it is returned to you easily.

Many religions suggest that prayers are to be ones of gratitude instead of asking for this or that, and that by merely being sincerely grateful, blessings will come to you tenfold. Each morning as I begin my day I step outside and give thanks to the sun for its warm breath, give thanks to the earth for its sustenance, give thanks to the trees for the oxygen they provide, and give thanks to the pure water at Heart Spring that is the life blood of this land and provides the moisture needed to maintain my body. In each of these I recognize the face of the Holy -- the spirit that vitalizes and gives me my very life -- and I am grateful. To start the day in such a fashion sets the tone and allows appreciation to open the doors of the heart, letting the abundance of gratitude fill the vessel within you, easing challenges and freeing your energy to co-creatively engage fully with life.

INNOCENT PERCEPTION - Another positive impulse for the heart is that of innocent perception. This is the state of nonjudgment in which your view is like looking through the eyes of a child. With this perspective you see the world anew with freshness and are able to be present. Judgment is a part of our make-up, because in our evolutionary development humans have needed to make quick judgments, for example, to know how fast and far we needed to run to avoid the saber-toothed tiger. Judgment is a part of our fight or flight mechanism and helps keep us safe.

However, the dangers that we now face are different from those ten thousand years ago. Constant judgment that creates a stress response is more harmful than helpful. Now it is more appropriate to let our hearts be discerning, allowing ourselves to make decisions that are more holistic, with less personal attachment, and to embrace other's opinions. It is then that we experience gentleness with ourselves as well as others. When I look at Dandelion and say that I know all there is to know about it, I'm not viewing it with innocent perception. Instead I am closing the door to any other possible experience or understanding about its character or healing qualities. My relationship does not continue to grow and the subtle nuances of Dandelion's gifts pass me by. When we sit in judgment we limit our experiences of life as well as our choices.

FORGIVENESS - Forgiveness is a quality that is harder to achieve than the previous two impulses but one that when accomplished is most rewarding. The difficulty lies in our responses to greed, betrayal, loss, shame, and dishonesty -- actions that have hurt us to the point of locking down our hearts so as to never be hurt again. This vise on our heart causes it to atrophy, harden, and ooze power as if from a festering wound. It is also in this arena that we come up against some of our hardest challenges, ones that hold us in bondage and suck our life force.

Forgiveness must begin with oneself before it can move on to others. If we can't forgive ourselves, our parents, our spouses, our neighbors, and our government then it is unlikely we could ever forgive the desperate act of a terrorist. And yet, it is this very forgiving that puts healing into motion by removing the shackles from the heart, allowing it to invigorate with coherence leading to compassion. If you continue hard-..heartedness you are hurt not just once but repeatedly by the energy you expend holding on to your grudge. But forgiving, as Howard Martin so eloquently states, "releases you from the punishment of a self-made prison in which you are both the inmate and the jailer."

During a Plant Spirit Healing class one homework assignment was to give positive impulses to the heart. Anne shared, "What I experienced when I practiced positive impulses to the heart those first days, was an incredible opening . . . [a] softening of my heart toward my stepdaughter. For several months I had been burdened with negative, judgmental, fearful thoughts and emotions around our relationship.

"With several days of practice, those thoughts and emotions ‘magically' disappeared. Somehow I had let go of the heaviness of it all. I wasn't afraid to visit her, and when I did the ‘wall' between us was no longer there, and I was much more comfortable being with her; my negative thoughts dissipated; I was more understanding and compassionate toward her; I had become unstuck and freed, after such a long time being captive to the negativity. I could move forward in such a positive, open-hearted way. And so it remains a relationship of ease to this day. I wouldn't say enjoyment yet, but no more struggle, certainly. Amazing!"

THE INFINITY POINT - These positive impulses or core heart feelings are what lead to coherence in your heart rate variability, which leads to entrainment, allowing the brain to serve your heart to its fullest capacity and creating balance within and without. It is also what leads you to the Holy Heart, which is the infinity point in your heart that connects you to your soul, thus accessing spirit. This infinity point is mentioned in a verse of the Chandogya Upanishad, "As vast as this space without is the tiny space within your heart: heaven and earth are found in it, fire and air, sun and moon, lightning and the constellations,.. whatever belongs to you here below and all that doesn't, all this is gathered in that tiny space within your heart."

In Christian doctrine the Holy Heart is the seat of your covenant with God as accessed through Jesus. A more secular view is that the Holy Heart is of the Earth and is the Mother of all or is the equal partner, the queen. Dr Phillip Bhark suggests that the apex of the heart could be the actual physical location of the infinity point, since it is here that evidence of stress first appears.

To me the Holy Heart is the place within that connects to without; it is greater than the sum of the parts, and yet, within each part, its wholeness is held. It is the sacred space from which I derive meaning from life and, through my service to the Holy Heart, I am connected to all life.

Stephen Buhner refers to the spiritual heart as the space where, "We feel the touch of the world upon us, and those millions of unique touches hold within them specific meanings, sent to us from the heart of the world and from the heart of the living beings with which we inhabit this world. This interchange changes the quality of our lives and reminds us that we are never alone." As poet Marta Belen says, "Through the door of an open heart the universe is known."

One of the Greatest Mysteries of All Time

by Gregg Braden -

Are We Connected—Really Connected? Ultimately, we may discover that our ability to understand the "rules" of The Divine Matrix holds the key to our deepest healing, our greatest joy, and our survival as a species.

Modern science is hot on the trail of solving one of the greatest mysteries of all time. You may not hear about it in the evening news. You probably will not see it on the front page of USA Today or the Wall Street Journal. Yet, nearly 70 years of research in an area of science known as the "new physics" is pointing to a conclusion that we cannot escape.

The Discovery - Everything in our world is connected to everything else. That’s it. Really! That’s the news that changes everything, and which is absolutely shaking the foundations of science, as we know it today. “OK,” you say. “We’ve heard this before. What makes this conclusion so different? What does it really mean to be so connected?” These are very good questions, and the answers may surprise you.

The difference between the new discoveries and what we previously believed is that in the past we were simply told that the connection exists. The new experiments, however, take us one step further. In addition to proving that we are connected to everything, research now proves that the connection exists because of us—specifically because of our consciousness.

Our connectedness gives us the power to stack the deck in our favor when it comes to the way our lives play out. In everything from searching for romance and healing our loved ones, to the fulfillment of our deepest aspirations and the peace of our world, we are an integral part of all that we experience each day. That the discoveries show we can use our connection consciously opens the door to nothing less than our opportunity to tap the same power that drives the entire universe.

Through the connection that lives inside of you, me, and every human that walks the earth we have a direct line to the same force that creates everything from atoms and stars to the DNA of life!

Shift in Perception - There is one small catch, however. Our power to do so is dormant until we awaken it. The key to awakening such an awesome power is that we have to make a small shift in the way we see ourselves in the world. With a little shift in perception we can tap the most powerful force in the universe to address even seemingly impossible situations of life. It happens when we allow ourselves a new way of seeing our role in the universe. The “small shift” that we need is to see ourselves as part of the world rather than separate from the world. The way to convince ourselves that we are truly part of everything that we see and experience is to understand how we are connected, and what that connection means.

Tap the Force - To tap the force of the universe itself, we must see ourselves as part of the world rather than separate from the world. Through the connection that joins all things, the “stuff” that the universe is made of—waves and particles of energy—appears to do things that break the laws of time and space as we once knew them through conventional physics today. From the DNA of our bodies, to the atoms of everything else, things in nature appear to share information faster than Albert Einstein predicted anything could ever travel—faster than the speed of light.

New Physics - In laboratory experiments, particles have been documented to be in two places at the same time, to be connected even though they are separated by distances of many miles, to “heal” themselves and even travel in time! Historically, such phenomena were believed impossible. But apparently they are not only possible, they also may be showing us something more than the interesting anomalies of small particles. The freedom of movement that the quantum particles demonstrate may reveal how the rest of the universe works when we look beyond what we know of physics.

While these results may sound like the script of a futuristic Star Trek episode, they are being observed now, under the scrutiny of present-day scientists. Individually, the experiments that produce such effects are certainly interesting and deserve more investigation. Considered together, however, they also suggest that we may not be as limited by the laws of physics as we believe. Maybe things can travel faster than the speed of light, and maybe they can be in two places at once! And if things can, what about us?

Power of Imagination - These are precisely the possibilities that excite today’s innovators and stir our own imaginations. It is the coupling of the imagination—the idea of something that could be possible—with an emotion that gives life to a possibility, so it becomes a reality. Manifestation all begins with the willingness to make room in our beliefs for something that does not exist. We create that “something” through the power of consciousness and awareness.

The poet William Blake recognized the power of imagination as the essence of our existence, rather than something that we simply experience occasionally in our spare time. “Man is all imagination,” he said, clarifying, “The eternal body of man is the imagination that is God himself.”

Philosopher and poet John Mackenzie further described our relationship with the imagination, suggesting, “The distinction between what is real and what is imaginary is not one that can be finely maintained…all existing things are…imaginary.” In both of these descriptions, the concrete events of life must first be envisioned as possibilities before they can become a reality.

Space-Time - For the imaginary ideas of one moment in time to become the reality of another there must, however, be something that links them together. Somehow in the fabric of the universe there must be a connection between past imaginings and present and future realities. Einstein firmly believed that the past and the future are somehow intimately entwined as the stuff of the fourth dimension, a reality that he called space-time. “The distinction between past, present, and future” he said, “is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”

Intelligent Field of Energy - So, in ways that we are only beginning to understand, we find that we are connected not only with everything that we see in our lives today, but also with everything that has ever been and with things that haven’t happened yet. And what we are experiencing now is the outcome of events that have occurred, at least in part, in a realm of the universe that we can’t even see.

The implications of these relationships are huge. In a world where an intelligent field of energy connects everything from global peace to personal healing, what may have sounded like fantasy and miracles in the past suddenly becomes possible in our lives.

With these connections in mind, we must begin to think of the way we relate to life, our families, and even our casual acquaintances from a powerful new perspective. Good, bad, right, or wrong, everything from the lightest of the light and most beautiful life experiences to the most horrible occasions of human suffering can no longer be written off as chance happenings. Clearly, the key to healing, peace, abundance, and the creation of experiences, careers, and relationships that bring us joy is to understand just how deeply we are connected to everything in our reality.

Field of Blessings

by Christie Pennington -

Some call it the "Morphogenetic Field", some call it the greater "Mind Field" or simply the "Field", I call it the "Field Of Blessings". Regardless of what it is called, it is a palpable energy Field. Most of us know someone for whom life seems to work, at least most of the time. Those fortunate few who seem to be so blessed. We wonder why, what is their secret? The secret is they are plugged into the Field. When we align ourselves, plug into this energetic Field, we too can live gracefully with ease and flow.

You are not plugged into the Field if you perceive an undesired circumstance in your life as an obstacle to your good. You are plugged into the Field if you see an undesired circumstance as holding valuable and meaningful information.

You are not plugged into the Field of Blessings if you believe this block to be an external force. You are plugged in if you realize it represents an internal belief.

You are not plugged in if you believe success is on hold until this block changes or is removed. You are plugged in if you look for: The purpose of the situation - what am I not seeing, what could I be seeing differently? What attitude might I change? Is there a better thought about this, a better approach? Am I ready to have what I want with the perceived obstacle still present?

You are not plugged into the Field if you believe the situation can be "fixed" by using intellectualizing, pressure, aggressive action, money. You are plugged into the Field if you are open to resolution by: Being clear about yourself and your desires. Identifying your root belief which has created the circumstance as an obstacle. You are willing to listen to inner promptings of intuition. You are willing to let go of the belief. Change always begins within, the power is there for you as soon as you are ready to plug into it.

Embracing the Spiritual Path

by Ayya Khema -

In order to embrace the spiritual path fully, be able to grow on it and walk along it with a feeling of security, one has to renounce. Renunciation doesn't necessarily mean cutting off one's hair or wearing robes. Renunciation means letting go of all ideas and hopes that the mind would like to grasp and retain, be interested in and wants to investigate. The mind wants to have more of whatever is available. If it can't get more, then it makes up fantasies and imaginings and projects them upon the world.

That will never bring true satisfaction, inner peace, which can only be won by renunciation. "Letting go" is the key word of the Buddhist path, the fading away of desire. One must realize once and for all that "more" is not "better." It is impossible to come to an end of "more," there is always something beyond it. But it is certainly possible to come to the end of "less," which is a much more sensible approach.

Why sit in seclusion in meditation and spoil one's chances at all the opportunities the world offers for enjoyment? One could go on trips, work at a challenging job, meet interesting people, write letters or read books, have a pleasant time somewhere else and really feel at ease — one could even find a different spiritual path. When the meditation does not succeed, the thought may arise: "What am I really doing, why am I doing it, what for, what's the good of it?" Then the idea comes: "I can't really do this very well, maybe I should try something else."

Fulfillment - The world glitters and promises so much, but never, never keeps its promises. Everyone has tried a number of its temptations and not one of them has really been fulfilling. The real fulfillment, the completeness of peace, lacking nothing, the totality of being at ease and not wanting anything, cannot be fulfilled in the world. There's nothing that can fill one's wants utterly and completely. Money, material possessions, another person, some of these can do so. And yet there's that niggling doubt: "Maybe I'll find something else, more comfortable, easier, not so demanding and above all something new." Always that which is new promises fulfillment.

The mind has to be understood for what it is, just another sense, that has as its base the brain, just as seeing has as its base the eye. As the mind-moments arise and contact is made with them, we start believing what we are thinking and even owning it: "It's mine." Because of that, we're really interested in our thoughts and want to look after them.

It's a foregone conclusion that people look after their own belongings much better than they look after other people's things, so that one follows one's own mind-moments and believes them all. Yet they will never bring happiness. What they bring is hope and worry and doubt. Sometimes they supply entertainment and at other times depression. When doubts arise and one follows through on them, goes along with them, they can lead us to the point at which there is no practice left at all.

Yet the only way to prove that the spiritual life brings fulfillment is to practice. The proof of the pudding lies in the eating. Nobody else can prove it to us; wanting outside proof, so that all one has to do is grab a hold of it and nourish oneself is a wrong approach.

The fulfillment we are looking for is not what we can get and stuff into this mind and body. The gaping hole is much too large to fill. The only way we can find fulfillment is to let go of expectations and wanting, of everything that goes on in the mind, so that there is nothing lacking. Then there's nothing left to fill.

The misunderstanding, which recurs over and over again is this typical attitude of: "I want to be given. I want to get knowledge, understanding, loving-kindness, consideration. I want to receive a spiritual awakening." There is nothing that one can be given, except instructions and methods. One needs to do the daily work of practice, so that purification will result.

The lack of fulfillment cannot be remedied by wanting to be given something new. We're not even clear about where this is to come from. Maybe from the Buddha, or from the Dhamma, or we might want it from our teacher. Possibly we would like to get it from our meditation, or from a book. The answer is not in getting something from outside of ourselves, but rather lies in discarding everything.

What do we need to get rid of first? Preferably the convolutions of the mind that constantly tell us stories which are fantastic and unbelievable. Yet when we hear them, we ourselves believe them. One way to look at them and disbelieve them, is to write them down. They sound absurd when they're written down on paper. The mind can always think up new stories, there's no end to them. Renunciation is the key. Giving up, letting go.

Giving up also means giving in to that underlying, subconscious knowing that the worldly way doesn't work, that there is a different way. We cannot try to remain in the world and add something to our life, but rather give our ambitions up completely. To stay the way one is and then add something to that — how can it possibly work? If one has a non-functioning machine and adds another part to it, it's not going to make it function. One has to overhaul the whole machine.

That means accepting our underlying understanding that the old ways of thinking aren't useful. There's always dukkha again and again. It keeps coming, doesn't it? Sometimes we think: "It must be due to a particular person, or maybe it's due to the weather." Then the weather changes or that person leaves, but dukkha is still present. So it wasn't that and we have to try to find something else. Instead we need to become pliable and soft and attend to that which is truly arising without all the convolutions, conglomerations, proliferations of the mind. That which arises may be either pure or impure and we need to know how to handle each one.

Once we start explaining and rationalizing, the whole process breaks down again. We mustn't think that we can add anything to ourselves in order to make us whole. All has to be taken away, the whole identifiable lot, then we become a whole person. Renunciation is letting go of ideation, of the mind-stuff that claims to be the person who knows. Who knows that person who knows? These are only ideas churning around, arising and ceasing. Renunciation is not an outward manifestation, that's only its result. The cause is an inward one, which is the one we need to practice.

Life is a Journey

Life is a journey; a journey towards greater understanding; a search for greater consciousness; a quest for greater awareness of the universe in which you live. It is a being led deeper and deeper within your self to gain enhanced insights.

Probing questions arise as to what life is really about, what the purpose of life really is, why you are alive, and your purpose and role in all of this. These are all truly worthy thoughts for you to ponder. Also what the purpose of joy is, and of fear, for with these two, you decide which one you will experience the most, by feeding either the one, or the other.

True Joy is of Heaven, while fear keeps you earthbound. Fear desires to hold you in its grip. Fear is the enemy of joy. Fight fear by coming into the Stillness, for I give you peace, because I am Joy. I am the Joy of heaven, and I reside right within you. Seek Me, and you will find Joy waiting for you. This is the true journey in life. Entertain more thoughts of this Joy, for these are uplifting and are the prayers of heaven.

You yourself decide whether to make your life joyful or miserable. Either grasp this decision-making power to take charge of your life, or let life’s circumstances decide for you. It is ever thus: A soul deeply rooted in faith and trust in Me can already have a foretaste of Heaven’s Joys.

This is the way the Creator desires for you to live. Without fear, as fear is the robber and defrauder of joy. Therefore, turn fear out at all cost and with all your might. I perceive you thinking that that is not always easy. However, you need to remember and truly realize that it is your desire and willingness, and your growing faith and trust in Me, which are your tools to overcome this tendency to fear. Do come more often into the Stillness of your heart to spend more time with Me, and so I can feed you more joy. Think of Me more often.

Pearls of Wisdom

Lessons Of Reflection -

When we care about people, we want to save them from pain by offering them the benefit of our experience. Sometimes we feel like we know what is best for them. Sometimes, like when their safety is involved, we need to step in, but those times are rare. More often we find ourselves becoming frustrated when our close friends or family members do not use our relationship insights or follow our dietary advice, and this is where we find our challenge. We may even find ourselves becoming angry when they choose another path. This strength of feeling is usually a sign that our motivations go beyond merely helping another to indicate that there is a lesson there for us.

First, we need to keep in mind that each of us is on our own path and that we all learn differently. When we trust the universe, we know that there is a higher power at work that knows what is best for our loved one. Since we do not want to deny them experiences of deep feeling that are essential steps in the growth of their spirit, we can instead offer them our counsel. After we have given our gift, it is time to release it, along with our expectations of them and their choices, with love.

Once that is done, we can remind ourselves that our relationships are mirrors that allow us to see ourselves more clearly in the reflection. That is why it is easier for us to see solutions to other people’s problems than to see answers for our own. We can also learn from these experiences when we ask ourselves if we ever do the same thing. Maybe we do not share experiences with relationships, but we do with our finances or our food choices. In being willing to look at ourselves and see why we are being irritated by what other people choose to do with their lives, we can be like an oyster and make irritations into pearls. With these pearls of wisdom, we learn to release the desire for control over others and instead enrich their lives as we enrich our own.

Trusting Your Inner Guidance

by Wendy Betterini -

When we begin to feel lost or confused about various aspects of our lives, our first instinct is to search for direction. We feel sure that the answers we need are out there somewhere, and finding them will help us to know the right way to turn.

While seeking advice and guidance from others can be helpful at times, it is not always the best way to help ourselves. Rather than relying on someone else to tell us our truth, we can instead choose to look within and find the answers inside ourselves. Each of us has been given the gift of an inner advisor that will never steer us wrong.

This inner advisor is not pushy, however. He or she will not speak up unless we ask for help. When we finally open our hearts and minds to hear what our inner advisor has to say, the wisdom will begin to flow freely and our lives will begin to change for the better.

So, how do we tap this wealth of wisdom?

Is there a request form we need to fill out somewhere? No, it's even easier than that, thank goodness. Following are tips to help you connect with your inner guidance and use it to create your best life:

1) Create a Harmonious Forum - our inner guidance flourishes in peaceful, quiet surroundings. If you've got a lot of noise and chaos around you, you won't be able to tap in and hear the wisdom waiting for you. Try to find a quiet place that you can relax in. You can also surround yourself with beauty by bringing in some fresh flowers, scented candles or incense, or even some soothing artwork. Whatever will help put you in a calm, peaceful mood.

2) Turn Within - if you're not a regular meditator, this can be tricky at first. You might wonder what the heck you're supposed to be turning "toward," or focusing on. The answer is simple: nothing. Focus on nothing. Simply close your eyes and turn your attention inward, to the silence within you. Random thoughts will probably keep popping in, but gently push them back out and return your attention to the silence.

3) Listen for Wisdom - if you've got a specific situation you're struggling with, this would be a good time to think about it. Try to do so without judgment, and without trying to come to any conclusions. Just ponder the issue and practice acceptance for what it is at this moment. Then ask yourself, "What would be the best course of action for me at this time?" Consider the possibilities before you, and think about how each one makes you feel. Most often, you will notice a difference between something that feels right, and something that feels wrong.

4) Let the Solution Materialize - if you don't receive any insights initially, put the issue aside for awhile. By going through this process, you've already tapped into your inner guidance and asked for help. Even if the answer doesn't appear immediately, it will eventually. And in my experience, it doesn't take long! Just make an effort to stay open to the answer when it arrives. It will usually arrive in a flash of inspiration or insight that makes you say, "Ah ha!" Or perhaps it will be more along the lines of a subtle gut feeling, where you just know that one particular course of action "feels" right.

5) Act from the Heart - once you know what you need to do, act with confidence. Don't let worries or fears hold you back. Believe that your inner guidance knows what's best for you, and move forward with courage. Remember that there are truly no right or wrong paths in life, only experiences that we can learn from. By at least examining your options and considering which path is right for you at this time, you are making a wiser decision than you would otherwise.

At all times, strive to be your own master. There is nothing wrong with seeking knowledge and insight from others, but you aren't bound to mindlessly follow where they lead, either. You have the ability to find your own way and decide what's best for you. In your quest for knowledge, you will come across information that feels right to you, and information that doesn't seem to make sense. Use discernment and understand that there are many truths. You just have to find yours.

Beyond Perceptional Limits

by Dr. Sheri Rosenthal -

As students of spirituality we are on the path to personal freedom, peace and moving through life with fearlessness. One of the biggest challenges to our freedom is our need to cling to our perceptions and believe that they’re truth. But before I continue with our dialogue, let’s agree for the purpose of our conversation, that freedom is a state of being where we experience lack of restraints, confinement or controls of any kind. So why would I bring up the idea of freedom in reference to perception - what's the connection?

From a scientific point of view, we can say we are beings of perception. We exist to take in light from our surroundings and interpret it according to the limits and possibilities of the machine that is translating that information. On the other hand, we become trapped when we believe that the machine’s conclusions are definitive truth. If we do not have the awareness of this process, we will automatically be subject to the restrains and restrictions of the machine rather than moving past them to the freedom of absolute consciousness.

Let’s take a moment to put this into practical terms. Imagine you’ve just finished grocery shopping and as you’re pulling out of your parking spot. The person in the car behind you quickly pulls out at the exact same time and hits your car. You jump out of your car ready to scream at that person for driving like an idiot, smashing your car, being reckless and blind as a bat. However, when the person gets out of their car they are crying and deeply upset. The person relays to you that they just received a call that their mother had passed away and they were stricken by grief. They didn’t see that there was someone pulling out behind them because of all the tears in their eyes. In that moment, all your anger drains away, and you offer to assist them in any way you can.

So what just happened here? In our imaginary story, your eyes and ears took in light and your brain translated that into a picture or virtual reality where your car intersected with another car. Your mind told you that this situation was bad and further judged the other person to be wrong and irresponsible. The result of this interpretation was anger and resentment. In that moment, you were trapped by the limitations of your machine - and fell for the conclusions your mind came to in this situation. You lost your peace because you believed what your mind was telling you - you thought it was truth and you trusted it. As a result, you lost your personal freedom and were at the mercy of your fear-based emotions.

In Buddhism, the Diamond Sutra says, “Where there is perception, there is deception.” As students of spirituality, we must use our awareness to transcend the way we’ve been trained to perceive, and to learn to see without the machine’s constraints and preconceptions. This is true freedom, having the ability to interact within this reality without being bound to our own points of view, opinions and prejudices. This month, I challenge you to ask yourself, “Is this truth,” whenever you are in a situation where you are tempted to believe yourself. See what happens!

The Answer to All Things

by Kittie Harris -

The new energy on our planet at this time is of amazing frequency. Those of us who can feel the difference are astounded. When we look into the source of this energy, we see that it is within us. It is nothing that is brought in from another place, yet we are just now experiencing it. Why is that? It’s simply because we are now at a space in our evolution where we can access and withstand this energy. Previous attempts at drawing this energy to our planet were not successful because we as a planet have not been able to hold the energy of this frequency. As we have evolved, there have been more and more areas where this energy can be accessed, integrated and used.

It has empowered people to take grasp of their own lives and to move forward. In the past there has been much procrastinating because of fear that things will not work out for the best if we take that leap. We realize that changes must be made in order to change our dysfunctional lives, yet we, out of fear, continue to remain in that rut. It is this new Multi-Dimensional energy that is empowering people to take charge of their lives and to jump out of the rut that they are in. As in everything, change takes time, but with this new energy things happen more rapidly. We have the knowingness to realize that if we keep doing things in the same old way, the results will be the same. This gives us the incentive to take that leap and experiment in new areas. If that new choice doesn’t feel right, we are free to move on to other choices and other realities, which we are creating for ourselves.

In the realm of this new energy, we are being asked what it is that we want to have in our lives. If we wish to continue in the uncertainty and chaos, then it is our choice to remain there. It is not right or wrong, it just is. In time all will see things differently, but now we are on individual paths of progression that lead to the same end result. If we are to maintain the new frequency in our bodies, this planet will make rapid changes in progression. The more people who come into Lightbody, the easier it will be for succeeding people to take that course. It is said that one hundred is the magic number to see a great change in the whole, the collective unconscious. With the new energy, that number has changed to one.

It only takes one to change this world. Each person makes a dramatic impact on the rest of civilization. The more people who focus on Love, the more Love there will be on this planet. In the realm of things, we are at a dramatic time in the progress of Planet Earth. Much will be decided by the actions of the people at this time. If love and acceptance is demonstrated, the planet will progress very quickly. Our planet is also moving into Lightbody. This is a group effort. As you send out Love and Light to all people, the planet goes into a change to match the vibration of what is being emanated by her people. This is true of all feelings that are sent forth. With this time of new energy and very speedy manifestation of what we are thinking, it is of paramount importance to be completely aware of our thoughts and our words. They take form very quickly.

In the days to come, we will be quite aware of many changes. The direction of the changes are directly proportionate to the intensity of the emotional experiences of people and whether the feelings are love-based or fear-based. Humanity is at an important time in our evolution. If we stay in the Love energy, we will accomplish much. Choices are very important at this time. You will indeed create your own reality and it will happen quickly. All is in Divine Order. It is time to teach about the true meaning of love and compassion.

In all things, there is choice. We live on a planet of free will. Have we taken that free will for granted? Now is the time to be aware that we can change anything that we choose to change, both as an individual and as a planet. What one does, affects everyone else. This will become increasingly apparent to all of us as time goes forward, and in time, the knowingness will be there for all.

Be aware of the signs that are given to your civilization, as they are signposts to help you adjust to make better choices along the way. All of Earth is one. If you treat all with the same compassion that you wish for your most loved, all would feel a great shift on your planet. It takes one person to start the chain reaction. In the realm of things, all is in order.”

This is very difficult to see at this time with the pain and suffering that mankind is experiencing. If love is given, love will be returned. This is Universal Law. In brief, love all people. If there is a lesson to be learned from this, then perhaps that is the lesson. Time is of the essence right now because with the turn of the millennium and the attributes of this Multi-Dimensional energy our predetermined future has been erased. There is a fresh blank canvas and we all will paint humanity’s future by our emotions, thoughts and intentions.

In times of strife, it is important to see the bigger picture. In all things there is order. All cultures have had tests to see if they are ready to accept the new energy being offered to this planet. It is in our demonstration that we will shape the future of the planet. This is a very important time in the progress of the planet. It is in our hands what the outcome will be. Let the Light that you are shine brightly enough to affect all those in our world.

Embracing Life

by Carrie Hart -

Today, infuse your life with energy and enthusiasm. Put a little lift into your step. Put a little zest into your conversation. Take a little risk. Dare to say or do something different. But most of all, just love your life to pieces. Just love every moment of it. Embrace it fully, right now, exactly as it is.

Do not allow the clouds of worry, regret, fear and doubt to put a shadow between you and the glowing sunshine of joy. Go down into your center, into the place where the only time is now, this moment. And there you find that right now, this moment, you are surrounded by love. You are loved so deeply that if you would allow yourself to feel just one little iota of all this love, you would jump for joy.

You, exactly as you are, are deeply loved. You, no matter what you have done or left undone, are wondrous, powerful, and deeply worthy of all of the love that is showered on you. Yes, yes, this is life! Yes, embrace it, love it. Fill your heart with joy.

Why? Because you are alive. Because the blood still runs in your veins. Because the sun came up today and its light was shed on you. Because the moon and stars will come out tonight and shine down on you. How blessed you are to be alive, to have this precious life, this great adventure. Yes, this one, just as it is, right now. How blessed you are!

Making Conscious Decisions

by Stefanie Miller -

WAKE-UP CALL - This year has been challenging beyond belief for me, and I believe for many others as well. It has been a long time since I have had a period of such non-stop intensity. I can barely catch my breath before one set of issues is resolved and the next batch arises! I have had to really pace myself during this fluctuating time. This is a major period of intense growth in our evolutionary process. We are having to pay close attention to our health, finances, and relationships. This is a time to really get clear about the direction we want to go in and take steps in that direction. We can no longer ignore or avoid the things we need to deal with. The Universe is giving us a major wake up call to awaken and be present in our lives. This wake up call may have come in the form of a jolt or a series of jolts to get us really alert!

VALUES, NEEDS AND DESIRES - I see that we get caught up in the day-to-day survival of every day living and we overlook the significant things. We think there will be time tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, if only we can get past this thing or the other, and time quickly slips by. Our security and safety issues are being challenged to give us an opportunity to delve in and discover what our values, needs and desires really are.

PRIORITIZE - Many of us have taken our (and those of our loved ones) good health for granted. We may have put off getting our yearly check up, discounted taking vitamins and supplements, avoided healthy eating or frequent exercising and allowed stress and anxiety to weaken our state of being. Many of us are having issues with our physical, mental and/or emotional bodies where we are being guided to focus on our inner temples by making ourselves a priority.

LISTENING INWARD - This is a significant time to go inward and listen to what we need. We may have to take time out of our busy schedules and change our habits in order to take better care of ourselves. It is part of the awakening process to be mindful of our health and know what our needs are, and making sure that our needs are met. It is a time for taking conscious care of ourselves and each other.

CLEARING CLUTTER - Finances are another area we must all deal with at this time. Our country/world has gotten into the habit of overspending. We have spent more money than we have. We have gotten into this cycle of unconscious, uncontrollable spending. We are accumulating more things (and debt) than we need. We have had a tendency to buy things in order to present a certain image, shop to fill an emotional void, waste time, or buy things we don't need or necessarily even use! As we clear out the clutter of all the "stuff" we don't need or use and make space within and around us, we can see what is useful and purposeful and let go of what isn't. Once we know who we really are, we won't be as concerned with projecting a certain image or status.

TRUE WORTH AND VALUE - This is a time of finding our true worth, which doesn't come in the amount of a dollar sign, bank account balance, size of home, the name brand of your wardrobe or the prestige of your job title and income. It may be nice to have these things. Certainly there is nothing wrong with having any of it, it can be very nice to have, and may make life easier and more comfortable, it just doesn't need to define who you are. Our culture has placed such a high importance on money that we have lost sight of our true worth and value.

CONSCIOUS CHOICES - I got rid of all of my credit cards this year. I am only able to spend the money that I have. It's interesting to find out what you really want and need. When you are charging things you may not think twice about making frivolous purchases. We work hard for our money and need to make conscious choices on how to spend it. I am in the habit of checking in to see if what I am purchasing is beneficial for me.

I connect with the energy of the object (whether it be food, clothing or misc.) and see if it serves my highest good. I get an immediate answer as to its value for me. If I don't get a quick and clear answer, I don't buy it. It is has come as a relief to simplify my life in this way. I find that money and resources come in many unexpected ways just when or just before I need them. All of my needs, and those of my family are always met.

RELATIONSHIPS - Our relationships (whether romantic, friendship, work related, family members, etc.) are changing as we grow. As we know our own worth and have a clear understanding of what we want, what we need and have a strong understanding of our values, we attract people into our lives that reflect how we feel about ourselves.

At this time we may have less tolerance for relationships that don't serve us. We are in a very intense period of growth; we are learning boundaries and speaking up for ourselves more than ever before. It is a time to focus inward and not get caught up in the drama of people and situations that may distract us.

Many of us have put up with relationships that were not healthy or fulfilling for fear of making waves. We have failed to let our needs be known when appropriate or express our thoughts and feelings because we didn't want to cause a conflict. It is almost impossible or unbearable to suppress what we think and feel at this time. It is better to walk away or set aside a relationship than to minimize, ignore, or concede to a situation that does not serve us just to appease the other person. In this way, we continue to suppress our needs in order to put someone else's needs first and it is not showing that we value our own worth.

AUTHENTIC EXPRESSION - As we are coming from a place of love, filled with a true understanding of the matter and what needs to be said or done, we are being compelled and pushed to express ourselves. Our true and authentic light needs to shine and our wisdom and grace needs to be shared. At first, those whom we are in relationship with may feel shocked and upset that we are speaking out when we haven't done so before. Once they see we are coming from a place of honesty, integrity, while stating clear and healthy boundaries, and really standing up for what we believe in, value and need, those we are in relationship with will either choose to honor us (and themselves) or will transition from our lives.

OUT OF THE FOG - The awakening is about coming out of the fog. Many of us have gone through our day to day life taking care of things, our families, doing our job, paying our bills, purchasing things, running errands and completing chores but not really paying attention to what is happening inside or how it is affecting us. We are not mindfully aware of what is occurring around us or to the people we care about. We are living unconsciously and the major things that are happening to us at this time are jolting us out of this dreamstate.

We are being guided to make conscious decisions that affect all aspects of our lives...to wake up and pay attention. It is time that we live life, rather than go through the motions. Pay attention to our health and well being, spend and save our money wisely and have healthy boundaries in all of our relationships.

THIS IS A TIME OF AWAKENING - We have the ability to make conscious choices and be mindful in all of our relationships. We have the power to heal, love, and nurture/nourish ourselves.

Vibrational Alignment

by Julia Rogers Hamrick -

Spiritual Growth Strategies: Higher vibrational frequency is the name of the game in experiencing joy, ease, peace, true wisdom and total Love. The higher we rise in frequency, the closer to Source we are vibrationally, and the more we experience the God-knowingness and true power of Source. Your frequency is correlated with the amount of Life Force you have flowing freely through you, so maintaining alignment with Source and allowing full and free flow of Life Force is crucial to experiencing the sublime realm of higher frequency. Here are some key strategies for staying aligned and moving Life Force through you:

Powerful Practices That Raise Your Vibration

*Radiate Love unconditionally - When you stop tying your Love to people and other entities, your ego will find less reasons to withhold Love and pinch off the flow of Life Force, also known as “Love,” through you. Ego will always find reasons why someone “doesn’t deserve” your Love, or will shut down or diminish the flow if it thinks the object of your Love isn’t open to receive it, etc. If Source—demonstrating the highest vibrational frequency—considered whether or not we were open to receive Love before allowing Love to flow, Creation would collapse! So, instead of loving someone or something, make it your practice to simply love, period! Loving, no matter what, just as Source does, is the key to maintaining higher vibrational frequency. And you can trust that your Love is always received—it is received by the receptive aspects of Source, thus completing the grand cycle of Love going out from, and returning to, Source.

*Be impeccably honest - Honesty maintains you in the Flow of Life Force and Love. Dishonesty is of the ego, therefore, being dishonest necessarily removes you from the Flow. In order to be dishonest, which is an ego-manipulation strategy, you step out of Love and into the lower vibrational realm of duality, the misery matrix, the place where ego exists. While your ego may tell you that being dishonest is a survival strategy, it is telling you an untruth. Because there is no Life Force in duality, being dishonest depletes Life Force—hardly a survival move! Honesty is not only the way to stay in the Flow, or to step back into it if you’ve fallen for ego’s misguided manipulations, your honesty provides an invitation back into the Flow for everyone connected to you. Of course, being completely honest with yourself is the first step.

*Make joy your #1 priority - Joy is your emotional response to higher frequency, and your guide to whether you’re in or out of the Flow. When you feel joyful, you are in the Flow. When you are feeling less-than-joyful, your ego has choked off the full flow of Life Force through you. When you’re in the Flow, your frequency is elevated due to the increased Life Force moving through you, and you experience joy and its constant companions, ease and peace, the state of being we all long for.

The longing for joy is the carrot the Creator installed within us to assure that however far we dipped in frequency, we would always desire to come Home to the frequency level at which we were designed to thrive. When you make experiencing joy your first priority, your life aligns around that, and supports your staying in joy. When you are in joy, whatever you create is in alignment with joy, so joy begets more joy! Contrary to popular belief, joy is not just the result of some sort of mystical coming together of favorable factors, but is the result of continually choosing to be in vibrational alignment and in the Flow.
